  • Its real... cmon case, no happy feet on the logo sweeping , working chrono and the pip looks good.

Although there are 300$+ replicas out there that are almost impossible to tell apart from the real thing without opening up the case.

Nice watch, im in the market for a replica, I like the watch but no way in hell I would ever pay 7,000 for a watch that probably keeps worst time than a 15$ quartz ^^... + I don't want to risk being robbed in New York -_-...

  • that looks soo much better than the u-boat watches. how much did you set you back??? and how accurate is the time keeping???

  • EXCELLENT!

  • I have one original but I can't tell between original and fake but I buy it from omega Boutique And that why I think my watch is original 100% you can sent mail to me if you want to see picture of it... Original you can use it and proud of it no matter what "fake" can do because if you use fake..Are you dare to use or show it and you dare to tell "hey I have omega watch" hahaha that why I use original....

  • It's real from what I can tell. The easy tells on a fake Omega PO chrono is 1) quartz chronograph movement vs. valjoux 7750 (although there are chinese clones of the 7750), 2) lume-pip is significantly off center and looks different (some real PO's have the lume-pip on the bottom part of the triangle some are perfectly centered), 3) happy feet on the Omega logo (the Omega logo's feet go out and turn upwards like on the Vintage Omegas, 4) case-back engraving sucks (looks good in this case).

  • What are the 3 easy tells? Looks like e real thing to me.

  • Comment removed

  • @2009PocoLoco Why did you remove your comment? I would like people to see what you deem as "tells" to identify a fake. I'll take a trip to a few jewelers and check out the "tells" you mentioned.

  • Took a good look at POs at 2 shops and they all look genuine to me. Just like mine :-)

  • You know any decent jeweler can fix that bezel for you? It is common to be tight due to the mis-alignment of the bezel as is obvious on the spacing in the video. Nice replica, though there are three easy "tells".

  • @2009PocoLoco There is nothing wrong with the bezel. This watch is not a fake, I bought it new from a well known high street jeweler.

  • Okay, whatever you say...... If you are happy with it that is all that matters so enjoy it.

  • @2009PocoLoco maybe if you had a similar watch yourself you could tell the difference between an original and a fake..you obviously don't.

  • @cooch555 I have several Omegas.....I have been selling and servicing them for over 30 years.

  • Nice watch! I'm looking to get the same one, but with the orange bezel.

  • @IBJanky Go for it! I smile every time I put my watch on. Worth every penny.

  • mega omega;)

  • Thx for the vid, very helpful ;)

  • what song? beautiful watch btw.

  • This is definitely a dream watch..

  • that's better

  • Nice watch. The video is a bit grainy though.

  • @jonnywatchful Have you tried the 480p version?

  • Great watch! A real dreamwatch! I have heared, that it comes in Titane this year!?!!!!

  • Beautiful watch! I am looking to purchase the 42mm soon, it's always been my dream watch. BTW, could you tell me the name of this song by any chance?

  • Hi! The song is called You Never Know by Goldfrapp.

  • Cool

  • song?

  • Got it for high school graduation! Love it to deathh

  • Lovely... And the black bezel with orange 12, 3, 6 and 9 markers is my favourite colour combo...

I have the non chrono and its very acurate..

    Enjoy your watch

  • i have an authentic seamaster, but the "sword hands" quartz type for diving - tell me please, on the PO is the bezel a softer/easier movement, as the bezel seems really tight and difficult to rotate when diving, especially when wearing 5mm gloves.

  • The bezel on the PO turns quite easily, but I've never tried it underwater with gloves on:-)

  • Hi, I've only dived with this watch once and that was without gloves. The bezel is quite tight (which is a good thing) but the edge is very easy to grip.

  • @MagicPlums - thanks for that! My sword hands type seamaster has a really tight and difficult to move bezel - so might take a look at a PO....

    many thanks again.

  • Congratulations on a super watch!!!! The watch is a chronometer rated chronograph with column wheel mechanism, a vertical clutch and a co-axial escapement. In other words, you are one lucky bastard!!!!!

Hopefully I'll be getting the gorgeous calibre 3201 50th anniversary Speedmaster very soon. Lol, my wife is a Omega wearer and I'm a Rolex wearer. I've been suffering from Omega envy for a good 2 years.

  • Thanks for the compliment ;-) Hope you join the Omega club soon.

  • nice watch. i just bought a speedmaster pro, moonwatch. the 3573.50 sapphire. now that it's on order, i'm thinking maybe the planet ocean may be the better watch. hhhhm...?

  • I bought the same watch 6 months ago. This is an A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! watch. Beautiful! got a lot of positive comments...worth the investment as these watches last for life

  • a true timepiece

  • its a beauty!!!...a dreamwatch to every man....soo nice ....congrats ...You lucky man!!!

  • Hey, what a wonderful watch, bud! I love swiss watches... Also, could you tell what song is this? Very, very nice! Congrats for the Omega and good luck! thx.

  • Thanks for your comments chesslifer. The song is 'You Never Know' by Goldfrapp.

  • Thanks again, bud! You know, your Omega "re-started" a personal searching for a nice automatic swiss for my wrist! :) serious! See you, good luck!

  • fantastic vid. Finally one of a genuine one rather than these bloody counterfeits. My dream to own one one day. Maybe not the chronometer lol. How much did it cost if you don't mind me asking?

  • I bought it from a high street shop with a 16% discount off the RRP. I still get a massive buzz just opening the red presentation box and seeing the watch sitting there!

  • I can imagine! Enjoy it and look after it unlike a friend of mine did with his thousand quid watch.

  • I love when you buy a timepiece and there is thought put into the presentation....its always nice to slide it back on the cushion and put it back in the box.....love your Omega btw....

  • I'M IN LOVE !!!! Freaking amazing watch!!!! 5/5 from me as well mate and thank god that the last 2 decades people seem to re appreciate the mechanical marvel that hides inside those watches. Amazing!!!

  • Excellent! Five stars to the video, the poster of the video and to the watch, the only original seamaster planet ocean video out here. Good job dude and thanks a lot.

  • Thanks! I still get a buzz every time I pick it up!!

  • Omega all the way! My Dad gave me his old Speedmaster from the 60'S and I'm hooked. You have a great watch!

  • Cheers!

  • what a nice watch. but over here their $7k. but I think their probaly worth getting one ! the looks of the Planet Ocean with Speedmaster Chronograph.

  • tHIS ONE IS REAL!!!

    NICE WATCH MAN!!!

  • Thanks for posting this video, 99% of what shows up when I type in "omega planet ocean" are videos of replicas. Thank god some of us buy the real thing!

  • My pleasure. When I was deciding which model to buy, I couldn't find many genuine examples on YouTube. I hope this video is useful to anybody considering buying an Omega.

  • Nice watch, I've got the orange chrono one always found the chrono function handy. Very solid and good quality watch:)

  • i just wish it had the normal seamaster hands...

    otherwise awsum

  • Thanks for sharing this video, it's exactly what i was looking for!

  • Brilliant watch!

I'm saving up for one right now.

    Thanks for the inspiration.

  • Definitely worth it. I'm so glad I went for the chrono as well. Good luck with your saving!

  • Great watch... This is a genuine one...

Because the second subdial and minute counter are slightly bigger than hour counter...

    GREAT WATCH...

  • Nice watch...
