Last year was the first year that I set hair goals. I used to think it was silly, but it helped me be more mindful of my hair care routine. I wish you luck with yours.
@KinkyTresses - I think you're right. Since making this video, I even came up with a few more. I am *finally* moving back to NYC this year, so I have to set a resolution to come up with a new regimen since I will not be able to get my hands on the stuff i use here but i *will* have access to many more new products. I guess the qualifier to that one should be "do it all without becoming a product junkie" ha! Happy new year!
cute curly fro! ooh that Boots Pink Curl Creme, i wanted to try that, all the British Curlies talk about it as a nice cheap option. did it go on smoothly? defo more definition with the curl creme, it probably has more hold, so the curls from the rollers hold. Happy new year and good luck with your goals!
@louloumatou - thanks loulou. the boots curl creme was cheap, like maybe two pounds. i don't think i will use it very often because it is not natural, but it went on very smoothly and i am happy with the results. this is the first styler project i have used so far and i was very happy with it. i look forward to trying a few more projects in the new year without becoming a PJ! happy new year to you & yr lovely family!
@olamina thanks for responding! i'll give it a go when i next go to London, or hubby goes, just to try! i am a PJ (in temporary recovery) but i don't mind. Hope you find the styles you are looking for (professional). take care :)
@louloumatou - on second thought, i don't recommend this curl creme. when i went to pre-poo my hair, many ends just snapped off into my hand. i searched and searched but had to accept that i finally had the dreaded breakage. i will go tomorrow for a trim.
i would really appreciate if you can suggest a natural product that is like a gel or something with hold. i was *really* happy with the hold i got with the boots curl creme but *not* happy about my hair snapping like a twig!
@olamina ah sorry about that. i have a few products i could recommend for your twists/twist-outs. An excellent natural gel is Curl Junkie Curl Queen, another one is Crown Pride Naturals Gel. Hairveda Whipped gelly is great for twist-outs too (it's like a creamy gel), Bee Mine Bee Hold Curly Butter (very moisturising, nice twistout definition, a bit of hold), Donna Marie Dream Curling Cream, and some people love ecostyler olive oil gel (it's ok for me), what i listed is all a bit pricey but ...
@louloumatou i have great experiences with those and i think they would also work for your hair. You can look at my channel under the reviews section, i have posted a few reviews in the last couple of weeks. you will definitely have more choice for products you can pick up in shops in the US. Oh and mIss Jessie's curly meringue will give you that definition you are looking for. Always twist on slightly damp hair (with a leave-in condish and/or oil under the styling product) for more definition.
@louloumatou - thanks! im writing all this down. definitely want to try the hairveda and bee mine. i heard oyin shine and define has almost no hold, but i am still curious about it....
Your fro looks great! Very pretty! Sorry the party was cancelled. YOu should have gotten together with friends anyway. I like your earrings too. Happy New Year!
@superslyfoxx1 - Thanks for the kind words! Unfortunately the party that was cancelled (for medical reasons) was being thrown by the only friend I have in town. :(
I can totally see the AJ Johnson hair thing going on!!...
