And yes I know they aren't built that way, never heard of Blaylock Turbo's? The other is a W-900 B Kenworth, 425 Cat, twin turbo's and air to air after cooling and a 13 speed. I haven't found a Dodge or Chevy that will pull my K-7 Cat without breaking. They aren't rated for 58,000 pounds like my F-350. If I need to move two cats I use the KW.

@Bilskirmir It matters not the fuel, compression is determined the same in any piston engine. It all boils down to volume reduction in the cylinder during the compression stroke. That's the one with both valves closed.

the 1 ton rating is the suspension yes, but it's the entire power train as well. engine back to the axles. And if you look at that ford, it has meatier tires than the dodge which is running stock tires. @rtc292 The Chrysler Hemispherical engine, aka "Hemi" was developed in the '50's, and reached it's peak in the '60's and first 3 years of the '70's with the 426, I referred to Dodge trucks, they were junk until they acquired Jeep in the AMC acquisition. I own two Mopars, a '58 Fury sport 392 Hemi and a '70 Super Cuda 426. Still wouldn't have a Dodge truck. Even with the new Hemi, which is a pale imitation of the original.5.7 liter= 351CID, which is the first Red Ram Hemi from the early '50's.

@VcottntailW I've owned Dodges and Chevys,,, Just didn't measure up. have two trucks on my farm. A '99 F-350 Dually S.D. Turbo charged Power Stroke. And yes I know they aren't built that way, never heard of Blaylock Turbo's? The other is a W-900 B Kenworth, 425 Cat, twin turbo's and air to air after cooling and a 13 speed. I haven't found a Dodge or Chevy that will pull my K-7 Cat without breaking. They aren't rated for 58,000 pounds like my F-350. If I need to move two cats I use the KW.

No welded waste gates, just the few changes and reprogrammed chip. Just a good truck that does the job, without thousands in upgrades. Not all diesels are turbo, many mid sized trucks like Isuzu's are naturally aspirated. Keep you dodge, whatever floats your boat. My Ford works, always have, always well.

the 1 ton rating is the suspension yes, but it's the entire power train as well. engine back to the axles. And if you look at that ford, it has meatier tires than the dodge which is running stock tires. If the Dodge had been a 1 ton long bed with mud terrains, it would have pulled the ford across that field. And age has shit to do with it.
