  • In the 1st part you said the hi/lo # you get (to write down) shouldn't be used twice. Would this be for -if you change another PLM (object) to a Scroll PLM and the hi/lo # would NEED to be different from ANY OTHER scroll PLM in the game?

I'm taking notes! Thanks for making these, and I hope to see more.

Oh, Try not to cough into the mic. LOL.

  • Yes you don't want any scroll PLM's to have the same Hi/Low value. You may want them to be the same, however, if you have multiple entrances to the red scroll block. |--------|

    s| R |s |--------|

The "S" are scroll PLMs, and the R is a red scroll block. In this case you would want to use the same values for both scroll PLMs since they change the same scroll block. Hopefully you are understanding. If not try experimenting yourself. Its the best way to learn!

  • For your next video on SMILE could you show how to properly put enemies into a room? That would be great if you could. Thanks.

  • Properly placing as in adding completely new enemies to a room, or just changing existing enemies into others? I can do a video on the latter comment, but the other I have not tried.

  • Well really I would like to do both. If you do not want to, that is perfectly fine, but I would really prefer if you could show how to add new rooms(or duplicating) with a hex editor as I'm just really confused with it. Thanks.

  • wow! you're very intelligent. It would of took me ages to figure this out! great tutorial shadow! :D

  • Ha, thanks for the compliment, but I didn't figure all this out on my own. Most of it was from asking other people questions, and the rest was just from experimenting. Never be afraid to BREAK YOUR ROM!! :D

  • No problem. Just keep the vids going lol :D I experiment alot with smile but I never really went into this much.

  • in smile it says i should use horizontals or verticals instead of continuation plm's, but i have no idea how to do that. is there a way i can change the directon of the arrow from straight up to pointing sideways?

  • Thank You very much for the videos! They were a great help to me. It will take me some time to get done, since I only edit about two rooms a day. I use the 2.0 version of SMILE. I've still been getting the runtime error, but when I reload the room again, it does fine. I guess its just a bug.
