I seriously rate Dillettantes and they fact that it is low in the order shows how great this band are. Breaks my heart that they did not get what they deserved!

I agree, they deserve soo much more than they have. I try and make every You Am I gig, and buy merch. One of the few bands that could on a good day blow any band in the world of stage, in my opinion.

As a HiFiWay nostalgic and tragic, I compare every new You Am I to that gem. Very unfairly too, as You Am I definately change with every year (like all good bands do). But every new listen of Dilettantes has me closer to thinking this is an even better album, the best You Am I album yet.

mate ye both be different to my view, but look at it like this if sound as ever didnt have berlin chair it would be a different story again, it is not as complete an album as say hi-fi way or dilettantes.

My line up is probably sentimentally biased, but I still think SAE is worthy of the top three. Sure, it's marred by Mark's average drumming but the songs are fantastic (except 'Off The Field'). Adam's Ribs, Jaimmes got a Gal, Coprolalia, Ordinary, Rosedale... when was the last time you put it on? it's amazing.

im not denying its not a great album but for me its just not as enjoyable as a whole for thoes reasons which you mentioned and i guess i just like the more mature sound that dilettantes has compared to sound as ever which is a more raw you am i sound
