@TravisTagart you can, but it hurts the cat. you should only do it when you need to restrain them for something. if you need to move them, pick them up, not scruff.

once we had to transport our cat, and he was very scared (he was overall a scary kitty), and well, he unfortunetly shat himself. so we had to hold him by the scruff in order to was his area between his legs and etc. he was very scared after. scruffing is really scary for cats. only do it when needed.

@IcenaldicN00bTuber it only hurts the cat if it's an adult; when their scruff is gone. Cats have scruffs so that their moms can carry them. When held by their scruff, they're sedated so they stay quiet while their mom can go through the wild carefully. They're thrown into a semi-euphoric state.
