    this is what i said

there is no monitor it's a desktop

    she said

are you sure or do you open it up

i said what the fuck it is a fucking desktop you plug it in to a monitor like a normal pc

    the end

  • @MacHelper44 You should respect your parents a little more.

  • im having a trouble choosing between ipad 2 or this mini babe

  • @electromagnetshit Get one of these and then program iPad apps. Then sell said apps and buy an iPad.

  • D: Yours is quiet. mines not.

  • can I use logic pro 9 with this?

  • We got new iMacs at school, other ones were burgled.. So they hadn't been setup yet and we were the first class to use them.. We were asked to all turn them on. Boy was it a nice symphony.

  • you sound lie nevile papperman from icarly

  • hey man im thinking of buying this does it by any chance have wireless capabilities?

  • @gatoraidsU it has both WiFi and Bluetooth built in.

    C

  • Awesome installation intro :P

  • ok what do you do with it? plug it in to your computer that turns it to apple softwere?

  • @FreekyhorsetackLLC it IS a computer.

  • @CJS7070 what the hell! i dont understand

  • @FreekyhorsetackLLC we're talking about the Mac Mini right? The Mac Mini IS a computer.

  • @FreekyhorsetackLLC It's pretty much a much smaller tower that you would see on traditional Windows desktops. It's a much smaller tower that is much more affordable than any other Mac.

  • @FreekyhorsetackLLC you plug it into a monitor for Christ's sake.

  • hey did you have to but the keyboard & Mouse sep or did it come with it

  • @KARCHER97 you need to buy them separately. The key selling point of the Mini is that it's small, and that you're able to use everything from your old computer with it (PC mouse, keyboard, display, etc...)

  • @KARCHER97 you need to buy them separately. The key selling point of the Mini is that it's small, and that you're able to use everything from your old computer with it (PC mouse, keyboard, display, etc...)

  • @LouiePresents the mini comes with a dvi connector. you can buy a vga one if thats the type of monitor that you have.

  • @LouiePresents VGA, in which case it comes with the adapter you need.

  • @LouiePresents blue or white connector on the cable

  • @LouiePresents DVI or VGA monitor?

  • @CJS7070 Most monitors would use VGA.. I'd just check on the manufacturers website, or go ahed and look at the back of your screen to see what inputs you've got.

  • @CJS7070 i would say dvi

  • does it take pc accessories, ive never owned a mac, and i want one Y_Y.

  • @nicktheparaket what type of accessories are you talking about? It'll take a standard keyboard/mouse/speakers/monitor if that's what you mean.

    C

  • @CJS7070 nvm, i found out it takes them, i ment em all ; )

  • so lets put in my information real fast.

    me: wow

  • Does it have internal speakers?

  • @ehalligan12 yes but they're sub-par so I recommend getting external ones.

  • If i buy a mac mini (which i really want to) do i like have to connect it to a tv???? or can i just use it by itself can i use another cpu???? please help im new to the mac world

  • @Imakegamesforyou

You can connect it to your old computer screen. To do this you need the correct adapter cape to fit the cable that comes in the Mini Mac Box, then it will work fine. However you can connect it to a tv if you have a HDMI cable then that will also work fine.

  • okay spend some money on a 20 inch flat screen monitor. that way it woulf be better.

  • "Bluescreen" Irony! :D

Its a good thing for an Apply Mac to see, but for Windows...

  • Thanks for that, hopefully it will help convince my partner to buy a new mac mini since I am buying the iPad and can't afford both + this HP laptop isn't cutting it for me anymore.

  • i have that exact same black monitor :D

  • will the mac mini display in 1920x1080 resolution?

  • @quest8899 maybe it depends on the monitor

  • @dgenx210 That is correct.

  • Macbook Pro if you need something ultraportable and quick to use. And yes all macs come with iLife preinstalled, which includes iMovie.

  • Does it come with iMovie? I wanna try & get into making movies, but on a strict budget. Would you recommend a Mac mini or a Macbook Pro?

  • @wickedexp

Macbook pro is better in terms of hardware, but if your budget is not too high, just get the mini

  • @wickedexp correct me if I'm wrong but Yes it does since ever new Mac comes with iLife nowadays (which include iMovie...)

  • if you want a cheap apple computer get a mac mini. having a hd flat screen motior with mac mini would be nice.

  • @RandomDoomsday15 lucky you, finnish schools are retarded and everyones using windows xp

  • does it have an internal speaker?

  • yes it does

  • I hope to get one soon. I have $300 and I am half way there. I just hope I like it....

  • @Dkr84 It's awesome... I have the late 2009 Mac mini and I'm impressed about its performance.

  • i cant wait to get mine. i used to have this hug pc that i accualy use as a backup heater for my room because is was so big and old!!!!!! swichin finaly!!!!!!!!

  • nice bandaid at 2:56

  • i might get one for christmas.....how hard is it to make an app for iphone or/and ipod touch?

  • @joshbjorge making an app for iphone and/or ipod touch is very, very hard

  • Im really trying to get an iMac soo bad, But i might get an mac Mini instead.

  • The Mac mini is a great machine.

I got myself one today and it works great.

    A core 2 duo 2.6GHz with 2GB RAM and 160GB harddisk.

  • @gwreijman how long does it take for your mac mini to boot up, also do you use any anti virus software? thanks

  • The machine boots in 34 seconds from the bong sound to the desktop.

At this moment i don't use a antivirus in MacOS.

In Windows (via Bootcamp) i use Avast home edition.

  • @gwreijman thanks pal

  • @gwreijman im really tempted to get one, ive never had a mac before so I think it might be a good one to get, for my first one. is your mac the 2.26ghz?

    thanks

  • @Baillie18

Yes, i have the 2.26GHz Core2duo (Penryn) with 2GB of RAM.

  • The Mac Mini is actually very powerful. It has either 2 or 4 GBs of RAM which is very very good and 2.26GHz or a 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor. Blazing Fast and powerful. Im trying to get one since I dont have the money to buy an imac

  • @RuthlessCriminal408 same here, im looking at the 2.66ghz tho, ive been wanting to start using macs for a few years now but never want to spend 1000 + for my first one. the mac mini seems like a cool little machine for a switcher.

  • Yeah i feel the same. I have a PC Desktop here in my room but its old and it runs XP. But my school supplies us all with a macbook so thats what im currently using. But i really want to make a switch over to Mac. See I compose and record music and i think a mac is perfect. So im trying to start off with a mac mini

  • @RuthlessCriminal408 thats kinda weird man, thats the reason why i want to get use to macs, ive heard great things about that logic software. ill probably wait till march before i get one though as they usually update and change alot of their stuff at apple. anyways good luck with your choice man.

  • @RuthlessCriminal408

    youre on rightway!

  • LLOL

  • I am interested in buying one, is it good for school work, making movies and light gaming?

  • Any computer is good for school work.

  • yes

  • Yes the Mac Mini is. It's a cheap Mac, and offers a variety of great applications, and others. It's a good school work computer, and good with making movies. The gaming could be a problem but overall you can run Cod: 4 on it, and Sims 3 so it's actually worth getting.

  • nope~ its good for surfing porn though~ :D

  • maybe try the stabilization software in that mini

  • does mac mini work with macbooks too?

  • what do u mean mac mini works with macbook pro

  • freak2star is asking if the mac mini works with the macbooks, I would doubt that it will work with the macbook, google it and see.

  • True, but the inclusion of at least one HDMI port would have been great. I mean, the Mac Mini makes for a very good HTPC apart from this exclusion. I think they are trying to protect the Apple TV's life by not including HDMI on this model, which is a shame because the Apple TV's life is not worth protecting.

  • you are 100% correct ...

  • If you use a DVI to HDMI adaptor you loose HDMI's main benefit over DVI, sound and video over one cable.

  • well most monitors speakers are cheap

  • You missed the point, this could have made a fantastic home theater PC if it had HDMI. I'm not talking computer monitors here.

  • @MegaProductReview the speakers in my monitor are crystal clear. but then again, it's an expensive monitor with high definition audio

  • can some one tell me if this goes fast, ?

(im thinking of getting one but i already have a good windows based desktop

    thanks : - )

  • y fix it if its not broken? if u dont need 1 dont get 1

  • beacuase the computer ive got atm is quite big, and makes my room lookrealy messy

  • well ill say wait as intel got new chips coming out late this year or early next year so u should see a huge upgrade on macs cpu and i thing they will also upgrade the gpu

  • Its crazy that you have to pay an additional $100 just to get a keyboard and a sucky mouse

  • Would it kill Apple to throw a HDMI port on there?

  • Did any one with a mini experience a password problem?

  • If you did then it had already been opened

  • I think its case sensitive. and the hard drive was installed by a third party who used temp password to set up, it seems to be working fine now

  • the chime is a hardware sounds, or built in the system. it plays it without speakers i think.

  • I'm buying a mac mini what cables should I buy to hook it up to a hdmi screen? Because I have seen the mac mini just comes with a dvi cable?

  • mini dvi to hdmi cable

  • DVI to HDMI

  • ive got windows vista laptop now so i can use this screen

  • mac mini are now £500 i mean that is cheap for a apple desktop but u dont get a computer screean for it what cheap computer screen do u recormend

  • What ever one you have

  • cool vid

  • mac on dell?

  • It's a Dell monitor... Apple monitors are too expensive for my budget!!!!!

  • creepy!!! i have the same 2 monitors, except the dell's backlight is totally fried. i also have the apple keyboard, but im using windows. o_o

  • why is it on a non-mac monitor? it looks like its on a regular computer screen ..

  • Because Apple monitors are expensive!!!

  • he probably meant the computer. and wouldnt a laptop have a smaller cpu? also a netbook cpu be smaller?

  • Nope, CPU's are all the same size.

  • oh...

  • that is completely false.

  • oops screwed up typing my bad

  • look at the mini its small really small

  • Hense the name 'Mini' :)

  • i think that is the smallest cpu i have ever seen!

  • Just a little hint to when you mentioned that the start-up chime came from the internal speakers...

The chime ALWAYS comes from the internal speakers, whether or not you have external speakers or headphones plugged in... I have an iMac, and it behaves it this exact manner, and to my knowledge, it is like this for every Mac model.

  • Could yo do me a favor??

i'm gettin the Mac mini in 20 days and the power adapter appears to be 100 - 120v some people told me that on the users manual appears 100 - 240v, some people has plugged the power adapter (100 - 120v) on 240v and the mac mini worked, my point is, if in the powrr "brick" appears (100v -120v) what about the mac mini users manual??, do you use 110v or 220v on your country?

    thanks for your time

  • We use 110v here (I'm in the US.)

  • yes but could you check the power brick for me?? what does it says?? (if says 100V - 110V or says 100v - 240v) please because if isn't autovolt i'll have to get a voltage transformer

  • Sure. It says 100-240v.

  • Great!! thank you so much!

  • i got a mac mini and a 22 inch lcd screen itt ROCKS

  • mac mini is a waste.

  • then why did u buy it!

  • I didn't?

    lol

    Macbooks are sick

    iMacs are

mini macs are just too much money for too little of a product.

  • what did you do steal it?

  • pwned

  • i have the same black moniter as you

  • hey did i see Garage Band in the menu? it comes with the Mac Mini?

  • yup it sure does... i just ordered mine today. it comes with a lot of great software cant wait until it gets here...

  • Yes, the Garage Band omes with every Mac! It's a part of iLife!

  • that is the one with a core 2 duo and 2 GB of RAM ???

it can handle programs like photoshop CS4 and sony vegas ???

  • yes it can, and yes it is the new mac mini model

  • wow, i have the same mic lol

  • The chime only comes out of the internal speakers. Older g4 or g3 apples the chime comes out of the external speakers.

Don't know why the chime wont come out of the external speakers on intel's.

  • hey is there a slot for 3.5mm headset jack? coz i really wanna get a mac but my parents dont like me usin speakers and right now im usin a windows laptop

  • Yes,

  • how much ram is on this mini mac?

  • good job

  • yeah!because you ca even install windowsa on it

  • Yeah so whats the use of getting a useless PC when you can put Windows on it anyway? lol

  • YES.

  • agreed

  • well my cousin got his last month and its sure way better than my pc

  • On a Mac Mini, the bong comes from the internal speakers. the rest of the sound comes from the external if you have some connected.

  • If i buy a mac mini 09 can i play spore on it?

Please reply its the only thing keeping me waiting to buy a Mac mini 09 with the

    NVIDIA GeForce 9400M chipset :)

  • Cool

  • hi !

I was wondering if the internal speaker was loud or any good?

    Thanks!

  • No, it's pretty quiet and the quality isn't very good at all. I'd recommend using a good set of external speakers.

  • is it possible to connect monitor cable adapters like this:

    Mini DVI->DVI->VGA

You said you had some trouble with the adapters in the beginning? Waiting for my mac mini now, but only have VGA and HDMI output. Do i need to buy a

Mini DVI->VGA adapter from apple, or does it work fine with: Mini DVI->DVI->VGA

    ?

  • The DVI/VGA connecter I had has extra pins and did NOT fit on the supplied DVI cable with the Mac Mini.

  • you can get a Mini DVI to VGA adapter from apple

  • Which is what I ended up doing

  • Is it loud when you insert disk? I just got my new mini and it was like a nascar race in the damn thing, just wondering if yours is quiet? I sent it back for a replacement anyway but would still like to know.

  • Yeah it is pretty loud... But I guess all slot-loading drives have that sound. I had a MacBook on loan to me a few months ago, it did the same thing.

  • hi, do you have a mac miny 2009 with geforce 9400m ? if yes, could you do a test of play a HD video ? with video mov h264 at 1280x720 and 1920x1080 and tell us if its smooth. if you want i can send you Hd video sample for testing. thanks cause i want to buy a mac mini and i want to know it can play hd movie smoothly.

  • yeah thats the new one, he said it in the unbox vid and look at the date

  • Sure, I'd be happy to. I don't have a monitor that can support those kinds of resolutions, but I can still try it for you.

  • I need one for school, (I'm going to be a sophomore next year in High-School) and I love to play Doom 3 and apple says that the Mac Mini can play that game really smoothly!

  • dont forget about doom 4 which can play smoothly too

  • WAIT you got the Mac Mini?!?!?! =OOOOOOOOO

  • Lucky! I cant afford 1

  • I don't know what your budget is but it's only about $600 i believe.

  • nah i can buy one now(birthday money) but im gonna wait till school's over lol

  • So am I

  • YAY Calvin got a Mac Mini!!!!!

    YAY! YAY!

  • is this the new mac mini?

and how many seconds does it take to start up? (after first boot)

  • Yep, it's the new 2009 Core 2 Duo mini.

I'm not sure, I'll time it out tomorrow.

  • thx

  • Internal speakers for startup sound is ok, the rest os the audio should be through your other speakers though.

  • Thanks, it's working perfectly now!

  • Yeah they started making it come from the internal speakers for all computer for awhile now, I dunno why but I think it has something to do that sometimes if your speakers were turned up load they would blow the fuck out of you
