  • nice, I like to ride fast my self too! those head lights are really cool!!!

  • Dam...your legs are like godly .____.

  • you'd be even faster if you got a decent road bike

  • Cute cat man ; )

  • wow, your legs have got to be ripped dude lol

  • I never got stopping for right turns at a stopsign on a bike. If it's a left, I generally stop, but if it's a right turn, usually I go through the stop sign, and merge onto the shoulder of the road. Usually dont take a full lane, sometimes I do, but not usually. Cool video, you're pretty fast. Try a road bike, you'll go faster.

  • i got the same bike, but not like the back where you changed it all... how do you go so damn fast? i can only go 25 maybe for 1 or 2 minutes...

  • just asking what kind of bick do you use like the name of the model

  • the best i ever did was a few years agon on a school camp, out leader was a fit as pro leader and im was jsut some fat kid, BUT i got down all areo dynamic they are pedeling hard downhill, and I just rolled past it was great fun, at the end of the hill i checkey my speedo, (we all had them to record distance and for speed comps) and it was 97 kilometers!!!!!!! i was stoked yet sad i didnt make 100 (55mph, man that was fun, AND a fat kid beating some fit teacher dude. gatta love gravity!

  • i dont ride bmx's but i reckon around the same speed 30mph or 40 downhill at most.

  • how do i strap the camra on to the bike?

  • with a strap

  • i like d way u tink haha

  • lol not bad but ive hit 35 40 on london road with a messed up bike tyre with broken ball barians and damaged gears. I used to race downhill highspeed on my bike very dangerous. Me and 5 other mates had races with bmxs and mountains..bmx always wins no gears!

  • how fast do you rekon you hit on your bmx's

  • I wish I can have my videos without shaking like yours.

  • You have to add padding between the camera and the attachment to the frame. This will eliminate the shaking or at least most of it.

  • i top 70 with a crapy mtb, but only for 30 seconds

  • I bet...

  • You would qualify for the Tour De France Green Jersey with that kind of speed. Give Team Lotto Davitimon a call, they'll hook you up.

Wow, an old superswede riding 70 for 30 sec. Unbelieveable

  • i did 73 on a small sprocket 28 speed down a hill n came lik a foot from a oncoming car

ill never go that fast again

  • i did that all the time, but now only 1 meter behind a big truck to get slipstream... i got a MT50 now and it is a little faster :P

  • Kudo's for stopping at the stop sign. A lot of bicyclist don't :( ... that ride back home up the hill must have been a bit challenging though. Great video!

  • I never stop if no cars are coming

  • A lot of cars don't stop at stop signs either.

My biggest problem is cars who try to give me the right-of-way, when they arrive clearly first. It's nice, but it confuses things and makes it dangerous. I don't care if people come to a complete and absolute standstill, but be prepared to, and yield the right of way according to he law.

  • now get back up the hill mate lol see how fast ya go now

  • 0:52.. I bet you weren't following the speed limit there!!

  • hahaha! sweet ride! bikes are the greatest means of transportation! :))

  • rofl

  • Nice vid! What camera do you use?

Feel free to check my vids.

  • Just go on right right ahead if even the car behind/besides you, just ride on right, keep ridin' on!

  • Nice ride, I wish I could get to the store in 2 min.

Please check out Rob's videos ....robsuniverse2day, thanks!

  • Some good stuff here.

Take a look at my bike rides.

I have been gas free for 2 years now.

  • where did you get your turn signals and electric horn

  • haha lots of weight on bike and a big hill fun

  • you must have really small rear gears and massive front gears. I wished i had a bike that. I only have stock gears and i can do around 25 max according to my cateye speedmometer. You should go get one. And nice way to save gas. =)

  • I am experimenting bike recording in NYC. I am setting the head cam up this weekend.

Unfortunately I don't have a good mobile camcorder small enough to fit so I use an AIPTEK mini digital camcorder.

  • Mount the camera head on the bike FRAME if you can rather than the handlebar. Depending on where you are riding a handlbar mounted camera may make the viewer dizzy!

Mounting the camera head on the helmet also works well as long as you remember the camera will follow your head movements. If you are constantly moving your head around you may not get what you expect.

  • How do you compress? Mpg is the best at full resolution.

  • I followed the instructions on YouTube.

"What's the best format to upload for high quality?

    We recommend the following settings:

    MPEG4 (Divx, Xvid) format

    320x240 resolution

    MP3 audio

    30 frames per second

Resizing your video to these specifications before uploading will help your videos look better on YouTube."

I tried several other formats and they were worse.

  • All I can say is that I uploaded 2 versions of a project; the 320x240 mpg/asf resulted in horrible quality.

The other 630x480 mpg delivered the quality of my last upload--which is relatively nice--no blotches or pixels.

I used Premiere and Adobe Media Encoder.

Now, I am not sure how the motion picture youtube videos are so clean, but I suspect they are allowed better files--but it might be that it's directly from film recorders to digital format, not tape/digitally recorded recorded.

  • Video out of the editor is around 1 GB! (UNcompressed) I spent a couple of days trying different upload formats. MPG/ASF was horrible even if compressed to 98 MB. (YouTube has a 100 MB max filesize) Then I read the help files and tried Divx, Xvid 320x240. It produced the best quality on YouTube but the file I get back is only 4875 KB and that's why the quality SUCKS!

  • You might want to take a look at, "Love of My Life - The Witness Protection Program" also on my channel. It was done EXACTLY the same way, same compression, etc. The lighting could have been better inside the church, but that video doesn't have the smearing effect. The very rapidly changing scenery of the bike cam (trees - road surface, etc.) moving at high speed causes the bandwidth to go beyond what YouTube can handle.

  • I noticed that memory/scenery issue. Perhaps I can play with speed.

  • That video, it has good color despite the quality; and its a great green landscape. You don't have that everywhere

  • This video came from an HD master and the resolution is absolutely spectacular. Unfortunately the low bandwidth compression YouTube uses does not like raplidy changing scenes and ends up smearing. There are 512 kb/s versions on the website but even at that bandwidth the loss of quality is VERY noticeable.

  • I live in the foothills of a mountain range and there is still quite a bit of farmland in this area which makes for some VERY nice scenery and some challenging hills to climb on the bike. Elevation varies from ~500 to ~3000 ft above sea level This video is in an area where I am leaving farmland and coming into the city where the grocery store is, which is why there are more and more houses as the video progresses...

  • You may bave noticed how much the video quality improves when I come to a stop or not moving as fast. YouTube simply doesn't provide sufficient bandwidth to handle rapidly changing scenery and ends up smearing everything. Compared to the HD master I edited in Vegas Video, what's on YouTube looks like crap!

  • There is NO MOTOR on this bicycle. It's human power only. The electrical system powers only the video camera, lights and horn. However, I did change the gearing to extend both the high and low end giving me more speed on the level and more power to climb the steep hills we have in this area. (Wide range Alpine gearing 11 - 34 cassette on the back wheel.) There are few people in this area that can keep up with me even though I'm riding a heavy bike with extra weight on the back end...

  • is this an electric assisted bike?

  • Awesome video! It looks like you enjoy your life a lot. Great for ya. I'm a cycling fanatic myself. I gave 5 five stars for your enthusiasm and energy!

  • Kitty litter, laundry detergent, and EGGS come in the same type square bucket. Check with your local bakery and you may be able to get them for free or very cheap. Mounting details are at: w w w . k 3 p g p . o r g / b i k e r a c k . h t m <Take the spaces out!

  • I've been wanting to do the same thing. How are those buckets attached? Some photos with detail would be appreciated on the website. They look like jumbo kitty litter buckets. I just bought one today because they're so useful.
