The two most heavly Government regulated systems in the U.S. are the most costly to consumers that is healthcare and education. Think About it!

Obama is on video saying he wants to see a single payer system. That is what this is all about the 1st. step to one. The sad thing is the best way to lower cost and raise quality would be for him and congress is to tear down the regulatory barriers to choice and a true free market system. Before 1965 healthcare was consumer run and very reasonable.

First these healthcare plans are not free. We don't know what the premiums will be. The CBO est. 10% below private insurance. Second the Government has done a lousy job of keeping healthcare cost down. We already have socialized medicine in medicare/medicaid schip. Gov. controls all the resources and how they are used. Gov. even sets the prices for 1/2 the healthcare sector directly and the other 1/2 indirectly. medicare/ medicaid waste $1 to every 3 it spends. Is that a plan worth expanding?
