This isn't a knock on this singer, but her movements remind me of when Charlie was singing that America song in Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Particularly the fist pumping part.

noticed all the movement too...but

Because its such a slow song with very few drum beats, her movements help her keep musical timing.

And she has a solo line at least 4 times that goes "no fist is needed when you....". She is always making a fist in time with that line.

Sooo much emotion pours into this song, she is almost crying by the end. Using her hands gives those emotions both an outlet and a focus. Some of her hand movements are intentional, but most come out subconciously.
