Yeah, but Erde is a joke... kinda. You can ignore it. In XG, gah... Sorry to tell this... I love the story of this game and all, really, but... the Gears were hideous, too big and impractical. Most of them look like kids' toys. And then, those scenes... *facepalm*

The story of this game is so deep and serious at its core... maybe that's why I would prefer the mechas to be more realistic and the references more subtle (and Chu-Chu to disappear or stay a stuffed toy forever... lol).

Yeah, the style of mecha combining does make it look a bit like GaoGaiGar. I don't think this one got a name display like the Yggdrasil combination though. I actually laughed when it said "Super Dimensional Gear Yggdrasil IV" onscreen.

I forgot how well this scene is made in the game ( perhaps because the first time I saw that, I thought maybe this was a little too much... like giant Chu-Chu or Chu-Chu on the cross, this is so out of place in this serious game ). But then, I saw the G-Elements like a cool mecha just like Erde Kaiser from Xenosaga ( well, Erde is a tribute to the G-Elements after all ).
