John is a part of you, a part of me and a part of everybody. This man really touched the lives of many through his music. I wish, he still was with us today.A great man, he has touched my life in many different ways! Thanks brother! We miss you John! God bless you and rest in Peace!

The Us governemnt spent willlions unsucessfully trying ot end communism in places like Russia, but Lennon and the ohter Beatles' songs broguht about a revolution with only a few pieces of music in spite of Russia banning all Beatles work. Lennon was always a great peace activist- I wish he was alive today when we need his messages most.

no, the song was written by Ben. E. King. Many people sung versions of it including Lennon of course. This song is even in 1 of the Lion King Disney movies. Lennon's version is of course awesome!

thank you Trampoliere. I can't believe I forgot, 3 days ago, also a Monday night just like in 1980. Seems so long ago. But his music is still filled with the same emotion....of course "Stand By Me" wasn't his, but it was wonderful. I just heard "Jealous Guy" which he wrote and recorded shortly before he died. Beautiful, beautiful song. Almost certainly, we'll never see another like John......and Paul......and George was very nearly as utterly amazing. Very sad that two of them are gone.
