First, USA didn't invent ANY of the aforementioned things.
Second, nearly every war in the last century has had some kind of involvement of the USA, with the majority even being the catalyst for it. 3rd, the USA have always invaded areas and then left it in chaos, or put some kind of provisory regimen (often in the form of dictatorships) on top if the land inhabited some sort of profit which would be "harvested" later on. Good point, but it would not be about numbers, unless you can teleport them into USA. It´s about ballistics capabillities. Does Iran have an overkill capacity? Does it have a highly advanced anti-air radar grid? Are there 1per1 4º'n' 5º generation dogfighters? Does Iran have stealth technology? Can Iran reach subs and shrinks them?

Nader definetly is very genuine and consistent in being sensitive to the approach of US foreign policy in the Middle East. Part of that reason may be because he himself is a respected AMerican that is the son of Chistian immigrants from Lebonan. 1) It would be un-American to start a war without exhausting all avenues of diplomacy,
and 2) Exhausting all diplomatic resolutions has not even been fully utilized.

If America attacks Iran, it will be the final nail in the coffin of the United States. Their already tarnished international reputation would only get worse if they do that. The entire Middle East would grow a strong hatred for the US, and the entire world would look down on them.

Economically speaking, there is an upside to the outrageous oil prices: That is, we start working on, and switching to alternatives that will not only free us of this "oil" struggle, but also reduce greenhouse gas emissions, like we should have been doing, all along, for the last 30 years.

The problem for the USA is that our "leadership" is doing everything possible to antagonize those in Iran who have long had a love-affair with the USA.
The young people in Iran have for many years puchased western attire, movies, music, and much more.
Now they're abandoning all that as Bush continues to act as the big bully of the world.
We only have about 1/2 yr to survive Bush -- let's hope we make it w/out him foolishly bombing Iran.

I agree with you wholeheartedly, that Pres. Bush is a bully, and he IS antagonizing the people of Iran. I also feel like we are "surviving" the Bush administration however, are we really just going to let him get away with his crimes, come the next election? I do hope not, and I think the people of the United States, and the world would agree with me, for the most part.

The problem for Iran is that its leadership is doing everything possible to antagonise those who are rightly wary of Iran's policies, and makes no effort to put its case in a more reasonable, less bellicose fashion. Iran is being talked to directly and indirectly to the extent that Iran is being TOLD that their acquisition of nuclear weapons will NOT be tolerated. Simply ceasing their rush towards nuclear weapons will resolve many of their difficulties, and NEGOTIATIONS can commence.
