I read in an interview with him about growing up in S. D. on Hollister St. and realized it was the same guy.

it hasnt to do with sounds or guitar techniques....its all about the riffs....that what makes a song...so the best riff which was played for ozzy was crazy train....thats why noone of ozzy's guitarists can compare with randy....

If you think Zakk's better because, "Oh he plays faster and makes a lot of cool sounds" then you're wrong, speed and pinch harmonics don't really mean jack compared to actual good, awesome playing. Randy could outplay any other guitarist ANY day. Randy's technique and sound was much better.

This is one of my favorite songs of all time.

Ozzy really does know his guitarists. In my opinion, all of his guitarists deserve to be commemorated as some of the greatest ever: Randy, Jake, Zakk, Gus. I'm wishing Gus luck, because he has a lot to live up to.

But why does everyone have to go dissing on some of them? I think we can all agree Randy is the best, and the rest are excellent but not as good.

Definitely. He is pretty well-known for that. In fact, all three of them are within my top 5 favorite guitarists. I watched his performance with Yuto (The 9-year-old), and that kid is amazing. I'm not feeling so confident with Gus, though. He's trying to hard to be like Zakk. I guess we'll just have to wait until July for the new album.

I don't mean to tell you you're wrong, but Zakk asked to be dismissed. He admitted the only reason he stayed for the Black Rain album was to gain money. In fact, Ozzy was reluctant to let him go.

Zakk over uses pinch harmonics and shows little versatility as far as using different techniques. Zakk can't even play the riff on Crazy Train correctly, he misses the last two notes and covers up with pinch harmonics. Lyrically 'diary of a Madman', 'Blizzard of Ozz' and 'the Ultimate Sin' are better than any of Ozzy's more recent stuff too.

jake never got or gets his due from ozzy. the ulltimate sin especially had some of the greatest guitar on any ozzy record. Ozzy and Sharon have tried to erase him and other musicians from the history of Ozzy's solo success. Shame on them.
