The Knicks-Heat rivalry was a good rivalry for that time of the late 90's. But it didn't have a lasting effect. Because the Heat moved to another division. And both clubs stop contending.

@FRSFreeState You mean the Knicks stopped contending. The Heat won a championship. There were a couple of rebuilding years mixed in there but they made the playoffs 7 out of 10 times in past decade. If the Knicks hadn't been terrible for the last ten years the rivalry could be more vibrant. But now that the Knicks have improved and the Heat are the "Heat" it should be pretty hot for the next five or six years I hope.
