the last year i ice fished that lake before they closed it for about 5 years ...... i was walking back to the car after we had packed up and when i was walking back i was jigging open hole , i was jigging a 3 1/2 sweddish pimple . the last hole by the truck was no more than 5 feet of water , no more than 10 seconds after i droped it in the i jigged it twice and hit a 14 1/2 pound rainbow trout....... beautiful fish... and just last year a buddy next to me caught a 21 pound rainbow
You know why those fish get that big that fast? If you look at the surface of the water about 50ft. out from the shore you see all kinds of big ass lake shrimp swimmin around!
