P2 Ultimately this problem is going to be solved at a geo-political level by getting the US to team up with EU & Japan to make Fusion power, this will end traditional geo-politics & starve the Neo-feudalist elites of the Saudi & Binladen crime families of the oil drug & banking sectors they dominate - obviously there will still be some military strikes but it is in Washington where lobbies of the Saudi & Israel keep US bogged down in the irrationalism of M/East where neo-feudalism co-opts Islam
US Generals are comparable to Brain surgeons or Nasa scientists in view of the amount & qualitative reasoning level they operate at but if we are going to patrol the Pak-Afghan boarder area you can't reasonably patrol high altitude areas in order to build fences - some of those Mountain passes are 13,000 ft - you need to control resources - most people are poor give them rationing control water supplies - this is what the Romans did to Hannibal - Fabian incrementalism.
