What is soulful about this? Do you like the way he exhales violently before each nasaly refrain? The fact that he didn't take the time to find the correct words to a legendary song? He's got a good voice but his style is terrible. A true talent? Pa lees! But he would probably do good on American Idol . They prefer this type of (abilty). don't confuse talent with showmanship

Very nice. Captured the mood of the original. Not to be negative -- but people like Jessica Simpson are making money and getting famous cannibalizing songs like this Patty Griffin classic and this guy -- Ernie -- does a very simple, soft version (without affectation I might add) and plays it well at the bar.
