Apple was the first to market, Google are 2nd. There are always advantages and disa. of the two strategies. The 1st has made mistakes that the 2nd can avoid. Of course Android takes a lot of ideas from iphone, but has many "new" thingies also. For me it's ANDROID: it's cheaper, it's very very slick, has trackball, removable storage, keyboard!!! The only thing that has iphone is that Google phones don't is worse unexchangable battery. =)

Not to mention that with Android its not locked down to ONE BRAND. Any cell phone maker(HTC, Samsung LG, etc) with the Apple OS Iphone is the only one that can utilize it.

I think it will end up biting apple once we see Android phones releasing every month.

Wow they say it's thinner than the HTC Magic and the over-rated iPhone 3GS.......... but does anyone know if it will have YouTube video and Picasa pictures uploading capabilities like the Magic will? If so I think it will be the Samsung i7500 for me.... even if I do have to wait until December to get it.

It's running the same operating system as the Magic, so it's gonna be able to do the same thing as the Magic. (It will be able to upload to Youtube and Picasa.)

As an iPhone 3G owner, I still have to say that these Android phones are starting to look very slick. It's good to see that the competition is revving up properly, it means better iPhones in the pipeline. The 3Gs was, in my opinion, not the best direction for Apple to go in: I'll just wait for a true hardware revision before I upgrade... But Android is starting to look tempting all the same...
