I love it that Arthur can get really pissy at Merlin if the warlocks's cheerful enough, but when Merlin gets upset Arthur's like, "Hang on. You're supposed to be driving me mental with your good attitude! Cheer up, you're upsetting me!"

Arthur did mention once that he didn't realize how much he liked having 'idiotic' Merlin around until he isn't.
