yo bro what ever happened to the wb network and kids wb, because i recently got cabble after not haveing it for years and i cant find kids wb and wb, my recient internet serces tell me that kids wb was falling under and was bought out by cw and the wb runs as cw daytime and the kids wb runs as the 4 kids tv block (which also bought out fox box ) every saturday mornings.

I remember shows like Dawsons creek (one of my fav tv shows of all time hance the sn!!) and buffy and angel! omg i miss the WB!!!!!!!!!!!! it was a big part of my childhood i remember the first time i watched DC i was 12 or 13 i just fell in love with it!!!

I was literally glued to primetime WB everynight; I watched all the shows. WB was so much better. CW tries, but since they still have shows like One Tree Hill, Smallville, and Supernatural that used to be on the WB, I can just see how the CW pales in comparison... those shows are nothing like they used to be!

Seeing this promo gets me all emotional all the time. I know that sounds crazy but this was such a part of my high school and college years growing up. They were staples of my youth.

When the network first started pon Janurary 11, 1995 it was mostly comedy shows and one of them was canceled after its first season. But as the years went by The WB had hit shows such as Sister, Siter (originally aired on ABC), Buffy the Vampire Slayer (later moved to UPN for its final 2 seasons) and dawson's creek. I'm trying to remember the name of a show I was sure used to be on the WB. It was a scifi cartoon, but not a childish one. In the first epi. the main char. house is blown up, but he escapes. It turns out he's an alien, and there are others like him. When these aliens meet up, one of their eyes does this strange outward wave thing starting form the iris. Some people I've asked have remember seeing the show, but not remember the name.
That really was the end of a generation. When I was growing up, the WB was THE channel to watch. It had Buffy, Charmed, Angel; and then later Smallville and Everwood. The WB will be missed. For each door closing opens another, the CW. Unfortunetly, the CW sucks ass.

Who the HELL's idea was it to just air a few PILOT episodes of a FEW shows that didn't really define the block as much as others. You see people, I'm a retro fan. I am open to the new, but I ALWAYS cherish the old that came before it. Is it just me or do we as retro fans always get the short end of the stick every time a decade plus long block or network closes, regardless of whether we get a "fair warning or not. (Please DO NOT take my ideas!) How about this.
Think about it. It kinda' happened with the WB itself. It has happened to Kids WB. Fox Kids was operated on and changed so many times that they had to put it down, and Toonami was watered down into submission. As I stated earlier, if this was THE final broadcast of a network or block that has defined a generation such as the WB, then why not end it with all of the FINAL episodes.
To tell you all the truth, I DID enjoy the farewell package w/Michigan at the end, but the episodes of the "selected" shows that aired sucked! I mean if this was THE final farewell to the WB network as a whole (The WB as well as Kids WB) why not end it with SERIES finales of ALL of their memorable shows INCLUDING Steve Harvey, Smart Guy, Sister Sister,etc. immediatly following the Kids WB farewell. But did they do that.... NO! I would barely except this as a FAREWELL compared to Toonami's.

It's shame The WB is gone now. The WB was the best network of the 90's IMHO. The CW is ok but it's just not the same (Although I like their logo). Prehaps in 50 years somebody will write a book called "The Forgotten Network: The WB" (In case you didn't get my reference, Look up "DuMont Network" on Wikipedia). Anyway, At least some WB shows are now on DVD.

That really was the end of a generation. When I was growing up, the WB was THE channel to watch. It had Buffy, Charmed, Angel; and then later Smallville and Everwood. The WB will be missed. For each door closing opens another, the CW. Unfortunetly, the CW sucks ass.

I remember watching reba, sabrina, buffy, gilmore girls, some of my fav shows miss you wb!the cw is making bad decisions getting rid of Gilmore Girls, reba, girlfriends, the game and everybody hates chris!

Who the HELL's idea was it to just air a few PILOT episodes of a FEW shows that didn't really define the block as much as others. You see people, I'm a retro fan. I am open to the new, but I ALWAYS cherish the old that came before it. Is it just me or do we as retro fans always get the short end of the stick every time a decade plus long block or network closes, regardless of whether we get a "fair warning or not. (Please DO NOT take my ideas!) How about this.

Most of the shows were sold to other channels like FX (buffy), TNT (angel), SciFi (roswell), and so on.
Therefore the only episodes WB could *legally* air were the pilot episodes.
Basically they had no other options. At least they DID give a farewell. When UPN shutdown they did absolutely nothing - not even a "goodbye" caption.

Think about it. It kinda' happened with the WB itself. It has happened to Kids WB. Fox Kids was operated on and changed so many times that they had to put it down, and Toonami was watered down into submission. As I stated earlier, if this was THE final broadcast of a network or block that has defined a generation such as the WB, then why not end it with all of the FINAL episodes.

To tell you all the truth, I DID enjoy the farewell package w/Michigan at the end, but the episodes of the "selected" shows that aired sucked! I mean if this was THE final farewell to the WB network as a whole (The WB as well as Kids WB) why not end it with SERIES finales of ALL of their memorable shows INCLUDING Steve Harvey, Smart Guy, Sister Sister,etc. immediatly following the Kids WB farewell. But did they do that.... NO! I would barely except this as a FAREWELL compared to Toonami's.

i miss the wb so much. the commercials were so much better like when they would have the actually characters and the wb frog and the tv show lit up in lights. im tearing up. i loved it so much. i think it is so funny how dawson was the last face before it ended. and i loved the dawson noel commercials so funny

Stupid WB. They really made some bad decisions. They got rid of so many good shows then they join UPN. That just made things for. The CW is no where near as good as the WB and UPN when they used to be apart. Sigh. Oh well that's life I guess.

I saw the final minutes of the WB. I wasn't able to see all these pilots, but I got a chance to catch this.
R.I.P. The WB Television Network January 11, 1995 at 8PM - September 17, 2006 at 10:00 PM.
Sad only 2% watched on the final night. Despite the Internet WB Network, the WB will live on in our hearts and in our minds.

WB Network has return! It's now a website. Now the fans young and old can continue to spent our lives with WB. All WB fans, we can go back to our revived home and enjoy together. When i saw this it made me cry. a nice sign off so beautiful and sad. I miss the WB. It was awsome much better than the CW! The CW sucks. the only thing good on it is family guy. It's a completely different channel now. The WB had was unique. While The CW is nothing but a clone of a buch of channels that tend 2 play horrible shows + have the same "layout." No,a mix of all the channels put 2gether and the worst shows mixed into 1 channel. R.I.P WB I miss that frog...

This was such a sad video to watch. I grew up with The WB. It was fantastic. Now the CW's around, so I guess it lives on in spirit, if you forget the fact that the CW's programming sucks.

I agree. CW sucks. Though sometimes i will tune into the CW , i only watch Family Guy on it. That's the only good show on it. (and yes, i know it is not an CW orignal. (i don't even think they have orginal programing.) and i'v been watching it on fox wayy b4 it was on this channel or any other channels well that's off topic...)*sigh* it's not the same anymore. on a side note i think the 90's had the best TV shows lol

It's shame The WB is gone now. The WB was the best network of the 90's IMHO. The CW is ok but it's just not the same (Although I like their logo). Prehaps in 50 years somebody will write a book called "The Forgotten Network: The WB" (In case you didn't get my reference, Look up "DuMont Network" on Wikipedia). Anyway, At least some WB shows are now on DVD.

CW is breaking records of both WB and UPN, soon when CW produces more shows...it won't be long, CW will be a hit station.
The WB still lives:
The 'W' in the "CW" stands for Warner Bros. (The 'C' stand for CBS which owned UPN).
The "Kid's WB" very alive!!
and other shows in the CW like Smallville, etc.
