  • I was going through all my old CDs I left at my parents' and found my Thisway album, which led me down this trip to memory lane. This video was so sad when it aired!

  • I just found out about this farewell thing today. I never watched WB like that but I remember seeing those promos as a little kid with Michigan J and just looked at some videos here. NOSTALGIA! Gonna go cry in a corner now. TT_TT

  • *Tears*...Back When things were simple.

  • Damn this is sad the best shows on tv were on wb even cartoons :( especially Roswell, Charmed and Popular

  • This makes me wanna cry :(

    I miss the WB

    Rest in peace.

  • aaaaaaaaaa

  • @laura43fun Its not that bad...

  • HOW THE HELL DID WB AND UPN RAN OUT OF BUSSINESS???? THEY WERE ONE OF THE TOP NETWORKS ON TV ESPECIALLY WB WITH 7TH HEAVE, KIDS WB AND UPN WITH THURSDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN?????

  • i miss the the wb , it looked better than the cw bullcrap , i miss watching the wb logo when it was on , why would the cw take that away , i mean seriously the wb logo was cool with MJ Frog

  • All that's left from the WB that still airs is One Tree Hill(ending) and Supernatural. Sad state of affairs...

  • aww man i waned to watch more pokemon, but now stupid cartoon network made it boring just like 4kids did to it

  • @yellowflip9992 It has always been boring.

  • You promised you wouldn't leave us....you lied. RIP WB KIDS T.T

  • @hdna And now Smallville's ended. That was probably the WB's best show. I wouldn't know as I was 3 when the show started!!!

  • I miss The WB Frog the most. :(

  • @KodaJosh098

    fuck that frog

  • So, sad to see the best TV Shows for teens come to an end.

  • Unilever says they have not been gettting calls. They are ABCs biggest advertiser. They were nice. 800-298-5018. Please call them PLEASE SAVE AMC AND OLTL AND PLEASE BOYCOTT ABC

  • 0:28 Michelle Williams from the 1998 WB image Piece.

  • I had tears running down my face when this first aired I couldn't believe it was over, some of my childhood years not to mention all of my teenage years were defined by the WB. Rarely was there ever a network where I watched almost all of their shows. I miss you WB.

  • Good Bye WB Hello Load of Crap

  • What was the name of that one tv show on either UPN or the WB that had a man who lived in the jungle?

(kinda like tarzan) who could read the minds of animals or could speak to them. I think it was called extraordinary. I can still remember this one episode where we fights a Minotaur. I think I watched it around 2000-2004

  • @lastman4u Beastmaster?

  • FUCK THE CW

  • WB supposedly stodd for "Warner Brothers" but colloquially we said it stood for "We Black"...

  • @shmuli9 YOUR AN IDIOT FUCK OFF

  • @chaoticzone Why did you send me TWO comments? (No, they weren't copies, though they both had similar, EXTREMELY intelligent statments.)

  • @chaoticzone It seems you are extremely angry about something. We you BORN offended at everything? Saying "FUCK" many many times doesn't make you seem particularly smart, but rather like you can't formulate a deep thought, not that I'd accuse you of HAVING one...

  • I don't if its just me, but I find it highly amusing that they feature Rose McGowan right after Ivan Sergei.

  • Ahhh....Nostalgia

  • I remember watching this, and being surprised not only at how touching it was, but at the moment immediately afterward, when the station went right back to its regular, Sunday-night programming: a rerun of "Smallville."

    Not quite a "sign-off," I'd say. ;-)

  • @Tizmaole YAYYYY SMALLVILLE

  • i watched the WB when i was in elementry.. aww memories..

  • I remember shows like Dawsons creek (one of my fav tv shows of all time hance the sn!!) and buffy and angel! omg i miss the WB!!!!!!!!!!!! it was a big part of my childhood i remember the first time i watched DC i was 12 or 13 i just fell in love with it!!!

  • i kinda miss the ol WB and the frog mascot

i wasnt a teen when WB was reigning TV (lol) but i remember WB and older cousins watched it I remember sabrina and buffy

some of the wb shows are still on CW

WB aint comin back its life things change y'all

its weird how everything on tv changed in mid 00s (eg. MTV, nickelodeon, cartoon network, etc.) all the good stuff was in 90s and early 2000s

CW isnt that bad but they struggle with ratings WB had higher rating shows

  • I agree! WB come back. We miss your belief in cult shows and dramas! No other network cares about hardcore fanbases anymore.

  • Whenever I watch these "WB says Farewell" videos, I get SO nostalgic for the WB (and probably more so, my youth lol). I miss all of these shows! I was literally glued to primetime WB everynight; I watched all the shows. WB was so much better. CW tries, but since they still have shows like One Tree Hill, Smallville, and Supernatural that used to be on the WB, I can just see how the CW pales in comparison... those shows are nothing like they used to be!

  • What shows were Amanda Peet and Ivan Sergei on?

  • @glows They were both on Jack & Jill... it was kinda short lived, from 1999-2001, with two half seasons. Only 32 episodes. It wasn't a bad show, but it really wasn't that memorable (for me at least)

  • i use to watch reba

  • The CW Sucks, they should have kept it as it was, because bringing two rival production companies together on one channel is like bring Satan and God into a coffee shop together.

  • oh this brings back so many good memories. buffy, angel, charmed, and of course those dawson creek kids! the WB was my network. all the shows i used to watch were on the WB.

  • screw cw lol

  • Comment removed

  • I remember this!

  • It's things like this that make me miss my childhood, the CW messed up TV, just like the new cartoons that they play on Disney, Cartoon Network, and Nick. Oh well, all great things must come to an end right? Fuck.

  • @xXRocker91Xx I think our sentimental feelings make the past seem like it was better than it really was. For example, remember "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" Best show ever, right? Well, have you watched it lately? It has not aged well.

  • gotta love the michigan j. frog silhouette at the end. excellent.

  • the same for me: "I agree with others that this was the end of an era on television. "

  • Who sings this song?

  • this is so sad!! :(

  • What?!? No Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles? I know Supernatural was only on the WB for the network's last season, but still! It's the only good CW show, since Everybody Hates Chris and 13: Fear Is Real went off the air.

  • Seeing this promo gets me all emotional all the time. I know that sounds crazy but this was such a part of my high school and college years growing up. They were staples of my youth.

    R.I.P The WB

I agree with others that this was the end of an era on television.

  • the wb was part of my early childhood, tween and preteen years, because now i'm 17 going on 18 in june a junior going on to become a senior and graduate in 2011, i will miss the wb because i watched its final night on the air when i was 14 in 8th grade. i will miss the wb.

  • @mimi3000 I'm graduating in 2011, too!

  • me too go class of 2011

  • @mimi3000 what time did the WB channel die at?

  • @mimi3000 lmao i was 14 in my freshmen year (c/o '10) when WB last aired and changed into CW

i remember seeing some of the WB shows some still on or made it to CW like one tree hill, supernatural and reba

i really miss the Frog, when i was child however i used to watch Kids WB

Its so weird TV is like f'd up now(nickelodeon, cartoon network, mtv etc) but some CW shows arent bad like Gossip girl cuz teens & young adults who grew up w/ WB watch some CW shows

    WB will always be best

  • @musicrocks617 yeah I agree I miss The WB. It was the network that everybody grew up to aside from FOX,ABC,CBS and NBC. When the network first started pon Janurary 11, 1995 it was mostly comedy shows and one of them was canceled after its first season. But as the years went by The WB had hit shows such as Sister, Siter (originally aired on ABC), Buffy the Vampire Slayer (later moved to UPN for its final 2 seasons) and dawson's creek. The WB will always be a part of our childhood

  • @CoinCash i agree it was so much apart of me an my high school years

  • @CoinCash Actually, that's not crazy at all. I kind of miss the WB myself. I just LOVED watching some of the shows that the WB aired. particularly Animaniacs, Looney Tunes, pinky and the brain and Tom and Jerry (though T/J aired as a time-filler after regular TV shows and not as an actual TV program)

  • @CoinCash It was awesome!

  • @CoinCash

NO NEED TO SOUND SILLY BRO....the WB got me thru college...the WB was EPIC...even greater than fox....

  • Comment removed

  • @bga4ever10 No, dear. "Dawson's Creek" was mature. Your "Gossip Girl" generation is terribly immature. No offense.

  • I never really appreciated these shows when they were on the air but now recently I find myself watching the fourth season of Dawson's Creek on DVD.Wow if we only knew then what tv would be like now we wouldn't have taken shows like these for granted

  • OH THIS IS SO SAD! The old school WB is like 1000 times better than the CW. I LOVE Joshua JAckson. Buffy, and Dawson's, Felicity, and Gilmore Girls were all amazing shows and i miss them!!!

  • This video is really well done. Although I liked UPN more than the WB, UPN just went off the air with hardly any warning. At least the WB did it with style.

  • I'm trying to remember the name of a show I was sure used to be on the WB. It was a scifi cartoon, but not a childish one. In the first epi. the main char. house is blown up, but he escapes. It turns out he's an alien, and there are others like him. When these aliens meet up, one of their eyes does this strange outward wave thing starting form the iris. Some people I've asked have remember seeing the show, but not remember the name.

  • I still cry whenever I watch this

  • I saw this on TV.

    R.I.P. The WB

    1995-2006.

    This ended an era.

  • that was the ending of a era,the wb era

  • i luved these shows so much

  • That really was the end of a generation. When I was growing up, the WB was THE channel to watch. It had Buffy, Charmed, Angel; and then later Smallville and Everwood. The WB will be missed. For each door closing opens another, the CW. Unfortunetly, the CW sucks ass.

  • What is the name of this song?

  • The song is called "Crawl" by This Way

  • I remember watching reba, sabrina, buffy, gilmore girls, some of my fav shows miss you wb!the cw is making bad decisions getting rid of Gilmore Girls, reba, girlfriends, the game and everybody hates chris!

  • Who the HELL's idea was it to just air a few PILOT episodes of a FEW shows that didn't really define the block as much as others. You see people, I'm a retro fan. I am open to the new, but I ALWAYS cherish the old that came before it. Is it just me or do we as retro fans always get the short end of the stick every time a decade plus long block or network closes, regardless of whether we get a "fair warning or not. (Please DO NOT take my ideas!) How about this.

  • Most of the shows were sold to other channels like FX (buffy), TNT (angel), SciFi (roswell), and so on.

Therefore the only episodes WB could *legally* air were the pilot episodes.

Basically they had no other options. At least they DID give a farewell. When UPN shutdown they did absolutely nothing - not even a "goodbye" caption.

  • Think about it. It kinda' happened with the WB itself. It has happened to Kids WB. Fox Kids was operated on and changed so many times that they had to put it down, and Toonami was watered down into submission. As I stated earlier, if this was THE final broadcast of a network or block that has defined a generation such as the WB, then why not end it with all of the FINAL episodes.

  • To tell you all the truth, I DID enjoy the farewell package w/Michigan at the end, but the episodes of the "selected" shows that aired sucked! I mean if this was THE final farewell to the WB network as a whole (The WB as well as Kids WB) why not end it with SERIES finales of ALL of their memorable shows INCLUDING Steve Harvey, Smart Guy, Sister Sister, etc. immediatly following the Kids WB farewell. But did they do that.... NO! I would barely except this as a FAREWELL compared to Toonami's.

  • i miss the wb so much. the commercials were so much better like when they would have the actually characters and the wb frog and the tv show lit up in lights. im tearing up. i loved it so much. i think it is so funny how dawson was the last face before it ended. and i loved the dawson noel commercials so funny

  • Stupid WB. They really made some bad decisions. They got rid of so many good shows then they join UPN. That just made things for. The CW is no where near as good as the WB and UPN when they used to be apart. Sigh. Oh well that's life I guess.

  • beloved WB...we miss you :(

  • Does anybody have the transition from the WB 11 to the CW 11?

  • Now 4kids not only took over the Fox Box now they take over WB and Kids WB?!! So they own 2 channels!???!?!??! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

  • Actually, 4Kids only owns the CW4Kids block and they cancelled their block on Fox.

  • sorry I meant WB

  • does this mean that if angel went on for another couple of seasons it would have to cancel cos the bb were shutting down?

  • I saw the final minutes of the WB. I wasn't able to see all these pilots, but I got a chance to catch this.

    R.I.P. The WB Television Network January 11, 1995 at 8PM - September 17, 2006 at 10:00 PM.

Sad only 2% watched on the final night. Despite the Internet WB Network, the WB will live on in our hearts and in our minds.

  • WB and Kids WB should come back.

The CW is nothing but crap and will fail. Bring back my childhood. T_T

  • what does cw even stand for?

  • co-owners of the new network: CBS corporation & Warner brothers

  • Comment removed

  • so sad...;(

  • Buffy and 7th Heaven were the shows that started the WB. And i agree, the CW suuuuucks =[

  • The WB was launched as a website.

  • I WANT KIDS WB BACK!

  • Yes, I do miss my local WB KSWB 5/69 and the WB, it felt natural, the CW is good, but it's so generic.

  • I want the WB back. The CW does not have the same vibe like the Frog brought us. The site is good and everything, but I want to see Dawson's Creek and Felicity up on the site.

  • They brought the network back online. But its still shit 'cause they don't have shows like the wayans bros, unhappily ever after, steve harvey show. Fuckin assholes

  • I miss the WB. We got rid of two awesome networks and created two shitty ones. Come on, My Network TV? What was the point of replacing the networks anyway, we still have six, if you count My Network. So stupid.

  • I cried the night they went off the air.

  • This was so sad. I was so mad that they turned it into the stupid CW. WB rocked!!

  • weird i felt like i was gonna cry

  • wow my blood was pumping like hell when i was watching this!!! who else felt this???

  • Leave comments on my page and I will make a patition to bring them back. I need my WB.

  • BRING BACK WB NETWORK

    CW SUCKS

  • the song is:

    Crawl - This Way

    album: POR October 1999

    your welcome

  • Bring Back The Frog!!

  • @robsters2 fuck that frog

  • @Arun999 No, my dear sir. With all due respect, fuck you.

  • @Kronos64 LOL you dont watch chappelle show do you?

  • @Arun999 ...I actually forgot about that show. >_>

  • THE WB FROG AND ITS DIFFERENT LOGOS USED TO MEAN EVRYTHING TO ME!!! ALL MY CHILDHOOD AND PRETEEN YEARS ON IT, SATURDAY MORNING CARTOONS,POKEMON, ANIMANIACS,LOONY TUNES, BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, CHARMED..ALL THAT! i hate cw its so annoying!!!

  • what is the song?

  • i loved what madtv called the wb: pretty white people with problems". this promo proves it : )

  • Yeah :( CW is really awful, it's practically a shell scraping the barrel and axing it's watchable shows lol; WB was so much better.

  • WB Network has return! It's now a website. Now the fans young and old can continue to spent our lives with WB. All WB fans, we can go back to our revived home and enjoy together. To Warner Bros., thank you for giving us fans another chance to enjoy with WB Network. One more thing: Michigan J. Frog, you can go back to work as WB's mascot!

  • i saw that but you have to be in the U.S. to go on that site, and im not in the U.S.

  • @MORENOx112486 It's nice to have the web site..but it would be better to have the channel.

  • The WB has been resurrected as a website recently.

  • When i saw this it made me cry. a nice sign off so beautiful and sad. I miss the WB. It was awsome much better than the CW! The CW sucks. the only thing good on it is family guy. It's a completely different channel now. The WB had was unique. While The CW is nothing but a clone of a buch of channels that tend 2 play horrible shows + have the same "layout." No,a mix of all the channels put 2gether and the worst shows mixed into 1 channel. R.I.P WB I miss that frog...

  • THE CW SUCKS!

  • Yes,Kids WB will fade from history and will be replaced by 4Kids. A good cartoon network that brung out good shows will say its farewell to Kids WB fans everywhere-young and old!

  • This was such a sad video to watch. I grew up with The WB. It was fantastic. Now the CW's around, so I guess it lives on in spirit, if you forget the fact that the CW's programming sucks.

  • i am near tears. *sniffle* the wb was a BIG part of my childhood, preteen, and early teen years. especially after TGIF died

  • The CW is NOTHING compared to The WB!! I really miss the 90s, where did all the good shows go?!

  • this is pretty sad..

    ah, the 90's<3

  • Awesome...

And has anyone else here noticed Melissa Joan Hart's name was spelled wrong? (It was spelled H-e-a-r-t) See at 0:32

  • i really miss the WB but i like the CW at the same time :P

  • The CW is cool, but The WB and UPN, is better.

  • Brings back good memories.

  • Man that was sad, I had a lot of good times with that network.

  • Goodbye to the WB

    The CW does suck.

  • good bye the wb

  • i hate CW + My Network TV

    WB was great

    UPN sucked though

    BRING BACK THE WB!

  • i liked both UPN and the WB i think my network tv was a waste CW is OK though i hated CW at first.

  • *sigh*

  • That was kinda depressing.

  • This may sound really stupid, but Im actually crying right now. I really wish they would bring the WB back =''''(

  • The WB and UPN turning into the CW was probably one of the worst things to ever happen to television.

    The CW absolutely sucks.

I refuse to even watch it.

  • Same here! I cant even watch the CW.

  • I agree. CW sucks. Though sometimes i will tune into the CW , i only watch Family Guy on it. That's the only good show on it. (and yes, i know it is not an CW orignal. (i don't even think they have orginal programing.) and i'v been watching it on fox wayy b4 it was on this channel or any other channels well that's off topic...)*sigh* it's not the same anymore. on a side note i think the 90's had the best TV shows lol

  • God, I remember crying when they showed this.

  • I cring... the wb is cool and fantastic, but the cw... the cw is very-very horrible.

  • i loved the wb too, but i don't know about cw being HORRIBLE. i mean, on the wb or the cw, those shows weren't gonna last forever.

  • Okay, Im really gonna cry right now. I miss this network! ='(

  • the cw is basically the wb with some shows from the upn.

  • Negative. The CW is nooooothing like the WB at all lol. The CW is horrible

  • i'm gonna cry.. :(

    i miss these shows!

  • Insert me bawling my eyes out. :(

  • the network that defind our generation... the WB knew us, what we liked, what we thought was cool... now all we have is Foxx 11... it's depressing.

  • It's shame The WB is gone now. The WB was the best network of the 90's IMHO. The CW is ok but it's just not the same (Although I like their logo). Prehaps in 50 years somebody will write a book called "The Forgotten Network: The WB" (In case you didn't get my reference, Look up "DuMont Network" on Wikipedia). Anyway, At least some WB shows are now on DVD.

  • Long live the WB!

  • anyone know the song in the background?

  • It's called "Crawl."

  • I wasn't watching it on it's final night but when I finally found out it's The CW, I stopped moving for a momment.

  • I miss it. :(

  • I wish they'd had some roswell in there

  • And also some birds f prey.

    :(

  • i cried.

buffy, angel, dawsons creek, roswell, smallville, gilmore girls and more.

    all on the wb

  • Dawsons Creek, Buffy and Charmed are my favorite shows! :)

  • Only thing wrong with this is that they completely ignored Roswell and Popular. Roswell for sure definitely deserved to be in there.

  • aww i miss the WB but i like the CW at the same time! They have some amazing shows this year!

  • Yeah, I just got home from my mission. I didn't even know there had been a change.

It was really weird. I gotta agree with most of the people on here. If they at least brought back the NAME "The WB" I think that would help them out a whole lot. Now its nothing but reality shows and reruns of What I like about you.... (sigh)

  • CW is breaking records of both WB and UPN, soon when CW produces more shows...it won't be long, CW will be a hit station.

    The WB still lives:

The 'W' in the "CW" stands for Warner Bros. (The 'C' stand for CBS which owned UPN).

    The "Kid's WB" very alive!!

and other shows in the CW like Smallville, etc.

  • Kids WB is going to be replaced by 4Kids.

    Your balls are shrinking.

  • michigan j frog took hid last bow *tears*

  • i don't understand how they can take something like the wb or abc sports, and think they can just throw it out the window. though the cw has good programing, i miss the wb.
