@tripMX it has to be all sentinel, and for fang/snow the sentinel lvl needs to be high enuf to obtain the passive abilities that reduce damage done to team.... im surprised ppl attempt this at such high lvls... i can honestly say (although it took me 31 min still got 5 stars) i did this as soon as it was available, vanille/snow/hope... death method of course + shrouds, but it was worth it because i got growth egg early and made the rest of the game a breeze...(had snow 7K hp w/ 1 plat bangle)

No way!! It doesn't make any sense! I equipped two maxed out General's Belts + one maxed out Champion's Belt (gave well over 60% physical damage reduction) and Neochu's Screech STILL does the same 3000+ damage waves that crush the fuck out of my party! Paradigm Shifting prior to attack doesn't work either. My main's HP is around 11000...how the hell!?

How are you doing 42k damage per hit for the last 50% of Neochu's HP? With Bravera, I'm only hitting for 14k.. I have Stage 10 unlocked and still can't match this damage... even have Fang decked out in STR accessories and lv59 stage 2 weapon... maybe I need omega?

@Seizure00666 You need stage 3 level 50 weapons. Stage 2 isn't enough for the stronger oppenents of 13 and lv. 100 is required sometimes too. There's like 5 stages fot dtrength and magic accesories. To get to the 5th stage you have to buy a catalyst called dark matter. It cost 720,000 gil each.... Or you can kill a creature called a Shao Long gui(Which has 6,000,000 HP) for a 15 percent drop, not counting items that up the drop rate.

@RemembranceBlade 1- Arthellinus is using Venus Gospel for Fang, a tier 2 weapon.

2- Dark matters cost 840k each.

3- Shaolong Guis have over 10 mill HP.

4- The drop rate of Dark matter will be 30% if you 5-star it and equip the Connoisseur catalog.

Unless you're playing a different version of the game.

Another approach for this battle, very similar to the shown in this video. Team: Fang, Snow, Hope. Paradigms > SYN lv2-SEN lv4-MED lv4 (active), COM lv4-SEN-MED, SEN lv4-SEN-SEN lv1, COM-SEN-RAV lv4, RAV lv1-SEN-RAV, SAB lv4-SEN-RAV. Equipment > Fang: weapon Glaive *, Warrior's Writband lv1 (x2), Brawler Wristband lv1; Snow: weapon Winged Saint *, General's Belt * (x2), Clay Ring lv1; Hope: weapon Eagletalon lv49, without accesories.

i have never been closer to suicide than i was for this battle. i could take down adamantoise w moderate difficulty but neochu was one of the most awful battles of this game. the growth egg is totally worth it. when i fought it in the faultwarrens it was insanely easy but i synthesized lightning's lionheart w quick/instant stagger and the whole thing was over in 20seconds. congrats for the 5 stars i think my first time took me 30 minutes of trying not to die and obv no stars.

@arlokkkk Actually I recommend you finish the game first because when you beat the game you get a Crystal expansion. Most of the missions are unbeatable without clearing the game once. Also don't worry about Traps because ultimate weapons will be much better at the end of the game. Trust me one million gill is good. I maxed all my characters stats and have never reached that amount at one time because i keep spending it. You can fight the neochu without clearing the game but it will be hard.

For light for now im using a starred gladius until i find leonheart, fang im using the one that help improve debuffs, starred too, for hope im using talon for now. The only thing that i dont understand even reading again and again a ton of times is the stagger lock thing.. i like tamming pole but has stagger lock.. that is this? fang with tammingpole as ravager will not help the chain?

@arlokkkk What stagger lock does is when fang is building the chain gauge she can stagger the monster. She can build the gauge but can stagger. However other party members can stagger even when fang is in the party. That is actually me preferred weapon with fang because she is mainly used as a commando and somebody else can always stagger it. Would you like to know the rest of my setup?

@arlokkkk Lightning- has axis blade and lionheart. While axis blade is weaker it is very fast and allows instant stagger. Light is going to be used a lot ,she is good at all jobs besides sen and medic. Sazh-has spica defenders- while weak it is one of his best at full upgrade. He is a good party member for buffs. While he has the lowest magic and strength his weapons increase his stats greatly. Snow- I have his default wild bear. However he is only useful as a sen. But fang can also do that.

@samuraiman26 I don't use him a lot because if fang can do all the damage she does and defends then he is only needed in emergencies. Hope-I have hawkeye as it has the most magic and no bad effects. He is your best magic user but he is good also as a saboteur. Vanille- Has belladonna wand. It improves her debuffs greatly. She isn't as good as hope for magic but she is better for someone with more hp. She is also a good synergist possesing spells she and fan only know.

@samuraiman26 Fang-taming pole. Once again while it does prevent her from staggering she can still build it and she will be a commando most of the time. She is the best attacker and i use her all the time, but she attacks slowly leaving her defenseless for other attacks. By the way I'm not the video poster. I have been helping all this time though sorry about the confusion. You can get the shrouds when you past a certain point in the game you get the key card for the store to by them.

To get the lionheart for light you have to complete some mission i forgot and you will get the chip. However once again i do recommend completing the game. The connoisseur catalog is much better. Also i would to point out that you only need one catalon because the effects don't stack one another

@samuraiman26 The aurora scarf is worth the slot but use different items on different characters. For example on Light i have whindwhistle scarf, sprint shoes, energy sash and genji glove. This on her axis blade makes her get a ridiculous amount of turns and instant stagger with is a good ability. But my fang has a all power items. Be sure when you get items that you can't get another one. for example genji gloves which you get from a mission after you beat the game can't be reobtained.

What the heck is this grand prix area? its on grand pulse?

@arlokkkk The grand prix area is when you get to cocoon after using the ship. Once you get there it should be one of the areas. You might not win at the neochu but it is fine if you don't get the growth egg. While is a good item after you beat the game and get the final Crystalium expansion it is when you need it. Since you are at the last chapter I would just beat the game. Trust me some of the enemies are impossible or dangerous without the final expansion.

@samuraiman26 yeah dude, you right, yesterday when i got home, i tried everything i could to kill neochu, but im still weak, even with a lot of sprint shoes, leveled royal armlets, 500hp bangles and stuff.. i can hold on with a 9940 hp snow just until neochu scream, that scream kill everybody! i tried a lot of different setups with vanille to kill with death, but didnt have luck.. then i tried some missions like fifty something that i got 5 stars but no nice itens..ill just keep the story then

@arlokkkk It is much easier to farm traps but it is best to beat the game first. The main point of the ultimate weapons is to help with post-game content. Ps- sorry if it takes a while to respond it is just that sometimes im am busy.

@arlokkkk With Light, Hope, and Fang: It is best to have tridisaster(rav,rav,rav,) and Relentless Assault (Rav Rav And Com(fang)). Hope makes a terrible commando because all he can do is ruin when he could be building up the chain gauge. If you like a more detail strategy then reply to this comment. I hope it helps

@arlokkkk Yes it is best to be Rav Rav Com. Because hope can attack with ruin and takes after his magic stat that is fine but he has much better control as a ravager. Also I forgot to mention that you also can go to Agression which is Com(light) Com(light) and Rav(Hope). If you need any more help don't hesitate to ask I like helping people in Ff13.

@skins4thewin Neochu halves Fire/Ice/Lightning and absorbs Water, so En- does nothing even with Imperil. Ochu is the one that is weak to Fire.

I tried this method in the end.

It's pretty good actually and a very solid formation. Unfortunately I had ALL tier 1 weapons with everyone so I wasn't able to kill Neochu, but it didn't go bad at all! I was able to damage it 'til it had 5-10% HP left, but then it summoned ANOTHER bunch of pichus (there were like 10 or more!) and casted pollen. Since I had no more TP for Dispelga everyone died in a matter of seconds lol. BTW I tried this method with mission 45 and without shrouds. :P
