Omg. :) how great to see them all again. Saw their tour with Cliff and Tommy Steele 1960 in Cardiff :) Terry Dean was there also. I lost my voice from screaming. Lol
This clip was not taken from "Oh Boy!", it was from "Boy Meets Girls" transmitted 20th Feb, 1960. The first guitar solo was Eddie, and shades of "Twenty Flight Rock" can be heard in his picking. The second guitar solo was Joe Brown, and you can also hear Cherry Wainer (organ) and Red Price (tenor sax).
Saw Gene Vincent at the Palladium in 1969.Sadly,never got to see Eddie or Billy. Only Joe is still with us, seen him on stage several times,he often mentions his pals featured here.
And long may he be so. I was referring to the fact that only Joe is still with us out of Gene, Eddie and Billy. Seeing JB next Saturday at the Fairfield Halls.
True, he is still living in Malta with his lifetime partner, Marty Isenberg. They are a notorious couple in the clubs there, famous for their catfights and abusive behavior.
Ok, Iit's a great bunch of guys in this band. Had a bit difficult to hear Eddie first but he is there. I like Browns stingy 2nd gtr solo. But I dislike organs ( trauma since class 1-3 in school when teacher started the lesson 'playing' on that thing )
great job, the first time i've heard this since i saw them on oh boy, (or was it boy meets girl by then?) great unison singing especially from gene and eddie (but then they should) - saw them at birminghamn hippodrome it was the greatest show around until the beatles came back from hambourg and dylan teamed up with the hawks... even cherry on the organ gets away with it. check out youtube/rochefortaccords what you see and hear there is inspird by this kinda freedom.
Hey good work Annees Vinyl. Never heard it before, never knew it existed, great track. I think Eddie must have heard a bit of Link Wray, n'est-ce pas?
The Beatles were picking up on this, (sound)obviously, and then too the fab four were backin up Tony Sheridan,( who also recorded''Ya Ya'' with the hammond organ in 61 in germany), but this was prior to all that !) This is a trip thanks for sharing..
Thank you for this wonderful posting. Popular legend has it that English producer/parasite Jack Good created Gene Vincent's "black leather rebel" persona because he was appalled at Gene's courteous, polite manner.
how did you get this song? it's great i never heard it before and i'm a big cochran fan so it's nice to hear new stuff co's there aint much about anymore...these guys make all these so call singers and artists today look like amatures
Great solo by Eddie! Never heard that one before. Whatever happened to the footage he did of the "Boy Meets Girl" TV shows in England? Were they destroyed or erased?
awesome, why did a lot of 50's rock n roll singers die young,billy-42,eddie-21,gene-36,buddy-21,ritchie-17,johnny burnette-30,elvis-42 to name but a few....brilliant video and song!!
Your video clip is great and I've rated it as awesome. Please check out mine on some trading cards of 1960's chart topping stars: Billy Fury, Elvis Presley, Connie Francis, Shirley Bassey, Lonnie Donegan, Frank Sinatra, Cliff Richard, and Billy Furry.

So nice to see that Joe is still going strong. I went to his wedding and was sad to hear that Vicki, succomed to that terrible disease.
But nice to know that young Sammy is doing well with Jules Holland. I wonder where her talent came from ?

Could legendary guitarist "Big Jim Sullivan" be in there somewhere ?
BJS was "Marty Wilde"'s guitarist at the time.
BJS backed Eddie Cochran on the fateful tour and for "Saturday Club".
Look "Big Jim Sullivan" on Wikipedia.
You'll be amazed at his career.
