Like your interpretation! After having found the sheets noticed that it differ somewhat from what is written. However, this doesn't make it less beautiful. I also admire your effort to play it by ear. I put much more effort in finding the sheets, instead :-)

Einaudi DOES have released sheet music for the famous love theme at the end of this video. I believe it's in his "Best of" sheet music collection, and it is called "White Nights". The treble is the same; the bass hand is not as hauntingly beautiful as here, but you could figure the bass out by ear with the sheet music.

For everyone wanting a tutorial, it's actually really useful to look where he places his fingers, then you can make out a basic tune =)

I just wish there was a better view @ the right hand!

But very impressive overall :)

I found the composer's book "Islands" on Amazon - it has this piece, and "Fairytale". The composer is Ludovico Einaudi. I went to the forum on his website, and the people there were most gracious and helpful. Many thanks to them. My sister has gifted me the CD "Islands" on itunes as well!
