  • r u shure that's not real? 'o'

  • i have a direct 11 :3

  • i swear that it is real o.O

  • I wonder if they can use the DirectX 11 and the cell cpu to recreate my balls in 3D with high textures and show them bouncing up and down and while running it in 1080p on the Xbox360 .......

  • @yingyangdragon The Xbox 360 doesnt support 1080p, and the video card is not Dx 11 compatible. Maybe that will happen when Xbox 1080 get released.

  • This should be used in Crysis 2

  • Looks like the first Crysis. Man those were the days......

  • I hope they are no shark there

  • too rough surface

  • song name please!

  • can someone tellme the name of the song please? :0

  • All i can say is wow.

  • PUT IT IN A GAME

  • This is Ps2 graphics.

  • @sangolt88 You must be a retard.

  • @biomankill @biomankill Actually it looks like shite. Ps3 got way better graphics than this.

  • @NorwegianCrows The PS3's graphics were outdated by the time it came out

  • @jak3legacy, No. That would mean the XBOX 360's graphics were outdated as well. And that's just not the case. They're both considered to be next-generation gaming consoles.

    PC rules over all.

  • @NorwegianCrows You wish...

  • @NorwegianCrows Please, pack up your stuff, and move to sweden

  • @Zakihashi, I think I may someday...

  • @NorwegianCrows Epic fail, PS3 is using a 4-year old card still (spin-off of the 7900GT) Whilst PC's are 2 generations ahead in DirectX.

    ..you fail!

  • @CornerSquid, The Nvidia RSX is a beast. O_o

It's more powerful than any of the GPUs we toss into computers. And get this, not one game has been able to fully utilize it's power. Not one. Sad.

I'd like to see someone rip it out and find some way of using it in a PC. Don't get me started on the CELL processor either. lol

  • @TekGeekify It's really nothing special. (Nvidia RSX that is)

    Reasoning:

300+ million transistors - Basically nothing in comparison to modern GPUs.

256 MB GDDR3 RAM at 700 MHz - This one REALLY made me laugh. My 2 year old GPU is better than that.

    136 Shader Operations per Cycle

1920x1080 Maximum Resolution - Hahaha! That it?

Doesn't seem like a beast to me...

Besides, why else would game developers lock the frame rates if the PS3 was so amazing?

You sir, are an idiot. Silly fanboy.

  • @beechey145, You're forgetting that GPUs in consoles are more powerful than the GPUs we use in computers today. The XBOX's GPU was simlilar to the GeForce Ti4200, but ran Halo 2 better than you could with a Radeon HD 3000 / Nvidia Geforce 7000 chip. The OS has a lot to do with it.

Dude, I'm not a fanboy. I'm actually selling my PS3. haha

1920x1080 is great. Also, the OSes PC's use hinder the power of GPUs. Let's see your computer run Crysis 2 as well as the PS3 will with 256mb GDDR3 RAM.

  • @TekGeekify Look fanboy, Crysis 2 will have the framerates locked on the PS3, along with the worse settings and resloution, you sir fail.

  • @beechey145, Wow, you really suck at this trolling thing, man.

I'm a PC fanboy. I'm damn proud of that fact. But the PS3 has something PC's will never have: Kevin. Butler.

I'm not defending the PS3, I'm simply defending truth against what you think you know. 1080p is here to stay. It's that simple. What's your fave? 2560x1600? Crysis Warhead @ 2560 x 1600 w/ 1x GTX 580 = 38 fps, average. If I'm not mistaken, the GTX 580 was overclocked.

God forbid you play Metro 2033 at that resolution.

  • @TekGeekify God forbid I play on that resolution, it'd never fit on my desk. =D

    You were saying (quoted) this:

"The Nvidia RSX is a beast. O_o

It's more powerful than any of the GPUs we toss into computers. And get this, not one game has been able to fully utilize it's power. Not one. Sad."

That shows the extent of your failure, yes, it may run smoother on the PS3 because of the native resolution and the turned down graphical settings, but that's it, the framerates are locked.

  • @TekGeekify gratz on the fail- 256 MB of GDDR3 RAM better than a 1.5 GB card in SLI with GDDR5 memory and a core clock of over 1500?? and memory. over 1k clock on memory

  • @MASTURCHEEF001, Jeez, you people are really hard-headed. Since I don't have the patience to continue this argument, I suggest you do your research and compare the two hands-on before you tell me I fail. Terrible trolls, both of you.

  • @TekGeekify i have. and i have found that a comparable card to the xbox/ ps3 scored 7000 on the 3Dmark06 (lol) vs 15k on the 1.5 gig card

  • @MASTURCHEEF001, Comparable, not accurate. Leave room for variables. The RSX is in fact old technology. I understand that.

The original point I wished to convey is that the RSX can still render the same content, at 90 - 95% of the quality as that of a PC, with equal if not better performance. I can't tell you how many games I've seen compared side by side between console and PC, and the result has always been the same: 90 - 95% of the quality when compared to PC, and very similar performance.

  • @TekGeekify SEARCH CRYENGINE 2 VS CRYENGINE 3, K?

  • @MASTURCHEEF001, What's your point there? Those are two different engines. One looks great, and the other is yet to be released. CryEngine 3 is more than likely going to re-define next-gen graphics. I've read about CryEngine 3 on consoles; whoop-dee-do, they're turning the draw distance down a bit. -.- It's not going to make a huge difference.

CryEngine 2 makes PCs struggle now, and from what I've seen so far, CryEngine 3 on consoles looks just as good as the PC footage I've looked at.

  • @TekGeekify my point is the engine is finished, the SDK final is released. however, the GAME is finished, but not released. on the PC, Cryengine 2 is still THE BEST ENGINE OUT THERE, even over cryengine 3 on consoles

  • @TekGeekify and also, i can not leave room for a double in performance, there are not enough variables in the world

  • @sangolt88 wear glasses,bitch.......

  • photo realistic

  • Fantastic!!!

  • Imagine this in games, with realtime dynamic water..... orgasmic.

  • Why does this resemble the water from Crysis... ?

  • @KeyAttendant Because Crysis has sweet graphics! :D

  • @FloatingCorps3 Oh yeah. :D Except, IMO, this water is more realistic and actually moves in one contingent direction rather than in Crysis, where you just get random crests.

  • I'm getting that download!!!!!!

  • electronic art....

  • I was forced to post this :p nVIDIA dont have DX11 DIPSHIT

  • they do... in developmentyou don't think that nvidia's best card is the 295GTX,do you? there are always cards in development.

  • like i said i had to post that cause my friend asked me to .. but it doesnt really matter does it? :p ofc they will have that.

  • @Blackwing024 actually if your friend says that again: they DO have DX11 cards: the GTX 400 series(just read about it :p)

  • Crysis which can run in DX9, has water that looks just like this.

  • no? you just can`t see it in wireframe mode, if you could, your dumb mind would have processed that crysis dx9 is bad compared

  • Looks the exact same to me. And Crysis is in game. And just for the record Crysis uses tessalation in it's water just like this.

  • Looks like the Bioshock CG opening

  • it still looks like there is a layer of something on the water, they need to fix that x)

  • i thought is real .... than i read the title a second time :)) amazing

  • Looks just like DX9 and 10.

  • Lol it's not man. You can clearly see the tesselation going on.

Seriously.. I know it's all popular to jump on the "fuck DX updates" bandwagon but seriously... you're expecting ENOURMOUS differences where the difference are going to be minor and subtile.

They keep adding featuers that requires new hardware structure which does, albeit incrementaly, increase graphic quality.

If you can't see it then stick to DX9, but don't say there isn't any difference when there clearly is.

  • @DutchManticore Tesseslation is not required to produce that.

  • LOL @ the Nvidia advertisement at the start seeing as they haven't even released their DX 11 product yet.

Even when they do (in a month or so) it will be going against 6 month old tech.

It's amazing, this vid is totally sexy yet there is so much fail. :O

  • @manhunt48 ehmm, you know that nvidia isn't ALL about gpus right? (and i know i replying to a year old post)

  • nvidia sucks

  • omg i just want to jump in and swim around XD

  • @farter1a2b3c But.... the sharks :o

    :/

  • DirectX11 does make a huge difference compared to a difference between DX9 and DX10 which is almost nonexistent. If you really want to see what DX11 truly can try the "Unigine Heaven" demo and run it in fullHD with all the effects etc. After that you will forget about DX10 as if it never existed :)

  • Am I the only one who thinks its too soon ? I remember the time when I got my first dx card back when crysis came out. Company's purposely make the cards not too advanced so there can be some form of a market to develop newer cards at a slower rate, thus making us pay to upgrade to the "next big thing", in this case DX11, which in a year or so will become obsolete. THE NATURE OF THE BEAST!! I will get it eventually, going to wait a while until I see DX11 do something that 10 can't already offer.

  • feel free to downrate me and disagree fully if you want

  • Wow i almost fainted

  • Holy crap. Pretty amazing stuff.

  • Finding Nemo!

  • a m a z i n g

  • I have always seen some major difference between all of the Dx advancements. The physics engine with 3 dimensional rendering in this video is stunning and to think how anti-aliasing was eliminated. Nvidia is indeed by Microsoft's side, we will just have to see about ATI's decisions towards 7's Dx11. Nvidia better start working on the GT300 before AMD, or ATI catch up.

  • I am NOT upgrading to the Evergreen or the GT300, or at least not yet. I want to wait a few more months to witness what each company does to advance their cards. Long live Dx 11!

  • before? I've had this 5870 in my PC for quite some time now and seeing the specs (as far as they are released) the fermi card is just an expensive spaceheater

  • I have to agree with you. I have a new EVGA card an I plan on using it in my main system. Haha, wasn't it?

  • @thelightguy1 Anti-aliasing was eliminated? What?

  • No. Sorry, I was reffering to how shaders reduce the use of it.

  • i felt no real difference from 9 to 10... and not even that many games support 10 still. soo...

  • there was a huge difference between 9 and 10, as being a game developer there might not be a significant difference in the appearance but behind the scenes the way things are rendered is where directx10 makes a difference. Such as shaders being calculated on different threads on the GPU and various other things such as GPU instancing (not sure if DX9 supports that but i know DX10 does)

  • i understand that. but it wasnt at all worth the $799 is shelled out for the 8800gtx sli when it came out... (SLI is also a scam unless you have like 30" monitor) i know have the 285gtx and have learned that when DX11 cards are out not to buy em till the second series comes out. the first never run it well.

  • @MeestaKeefGirly,

Agreed. You should see all of the people falling for Nvidia's SLI scams. I have a 8400GT EVGA and I am satisfied with my CPU time and smooth FPS synchronization. Just a few more months and we shall all see the true outcome.

  • can this be my background? lol...

    maybe in 5 years.

  • amazing detail but an ocean does not flow like that

  • I'm afraid. Its 2010 and Dx 11 is already "finished". but damn, I will live for hopefully 60 more years, and every second year a new Dx? This is madness!

  • @LIXLOW madness?! THIS IS SPARTA and then i kick u in the nuts ;)

  • Let them show at least a single demo or release one game that has those mythical DX10 effects first.

Volumetric waves are perfectly possible (see one of Ogre3D's demos f.e.) with any PS2.0 videocard and PS2.0 is 2002 spec.

  • Lemonardz you cannot get a computer to walk up, talk to you and have a good conversation on the political issues of the world, then go to taco bell, buy you some tacos drive back without getting in an accident and eat dinner with you, the ngo watch a movie and fly to canada, WHY!!!, because no one wants to go to Canada rofl :D:D:D

  • When I get a job and when I turn 15, I am buying the best video card on the market.

  • @eTristan1996 Be ready to fork up ~$650.00. And, they're only good for high-resolutions and enthusiast details.

  • Oh I know. I am planning on getting the ATi Radeon 5890.

  • Sweeet. Dx11 sea from nvidia! To bad nvidia doesn't have any directx 11 video cards!

    Ouch...

  • @lighteelco or so you think... if nvidia didnt have DX11 hardware, then how could they test this? Consider that. Its just that the hardware is in testing :)

  • Whats the Name of that Song?

  • Maybe should of had a boat zip through to watch the wake.

  • AMAZING now all they need to do is implement it in pc games lol.

  • look crysis... dx 10 looks already amazing

wit for crysis 2 in dx 11

  • They've done so heaps XD Crysis flight simulator X bioshock, n so on

  • yeah, only they make such good games but sell the same shit computers ;) otherwise a decent pc would cost you a grand for good gaming ;)

  • Take a look at my newest video, i can play any game on earth for the PC on max'd graphics i spent £220 on my computer in total... and i do beleive thats cheaper than the xbox and the PS3, especially considering, minus the game equality... the PC is FAR FAR FAR more flexible with it's compatibility

name me something you can't get a computer to do :P

  • @Lvieru96 but it would be a great investment, don't you think, if you want graphics go for a PC

  • all the 5 serious do lol

  • Can't wait for the ATI 8770 with DirectX 16.1 support.

    - 280billion polygons on the screens.

    - Support for 4D gaming enviroments (Yeah, real time manipulation is included in DX16.1).

    - Real time atom-rendering.

    - Win95 compatible. :-)

    Oh, future...

  • really? where can i find the specs. is it commodore 64 compatible? i hope so. lol

  • @Shotgunhavoc hahahaha I can't wait to get my hands on that one =P. That made me lol in real life hihihi

  • @MishkaSky ^_^ Atleast I saved someones day. :3

  • @Shotgunhavoc Don't forget the 300 inch monitor!

  • @Zergikun Monster screen! lol!

  • @Shotgunhavoc And all you need is a 4200 WATT Power supply!

  • @Shotgunhavoc What Res is the highest on that ;)

  • @Dougen12TV Actually the screens of that era are genuine 3D which practically means max. 15360x6480x6480 per "monitor". ATI EyeFinity will support up to 28 monitors at that time. >:)

Oh, in case you wonder why "Shotgunhavoc" is not answering is that it was my old acc and probably got locked. :(

  • @spitfoo, I can't imagine the power and hardware requirements for using 28 monitors. XD

  • @Shotgunhavoc LMAO...ATI with Win95... you wish.

  • @googleeaterwoot or Win 3.0 or M$ DOS. Lmao.

    Cryengine 3 on DOS? Yippee!

  • @Shotgunhavoc i hope you mean windows 10... not 95 lol that is OLD AS SHIET

  • @MASTURCHEEF001 95 fo sarcasm.

    Shotgunhavoc here with diff acc.

  • Holy Shit.

Shit just rocked launched me into the air.

    Amazing.

In 10 Years, [if we still play games then]...we probebly coudlent tell the diffrence. And More Politic People will somethine to argue.....

  • it looks good, but to me it all looks like its moving together, or somethings not quite right, cause it doesn't quite look like water, it looks too thick. Does anyone get what i'm saying? lol

  • yes, i agree with you.....it looks great but just lika a thick and photoresist mush....maybe the lightning is missing.

  • yeah i know what you mean

  • Lightning? You mean lighting? Anyway. I think there's plenty of it - and it looks great. We're getting close to photorealism.

  • yeah it is close to photorealism.....but dunno maybe the water is too slow or something but anyway......its a great piece of modern technology.

  • @steeeven1 I do, it's like control C and then control V

    a lot of ocean..

  • yeah lol

  • I am looking forward to see ATI pull this one off with Windows 7.

  • I think I just came O.o

  • nice music, where are this from?

  • how can i tell if my card supports dx11? i have an nvidia 5500fx (which i didnt think would support it) but when i go to dxdaig if says 11. does this mean my card supports it??

  • @951258tike22

Your card supports DirectX 9. However you're running windows 7. In order to play games that make use of DirectX 11 you'll need a new GPU. Currently ATi are the only ones to offer such cards.

Sadly such GPU's would require you to upgrade your computer with a new motherboard as modern GPU's don't use AGP slots anymore. By the time you've done that you'll likely need a new CPU & RAM as well sadly.

  • thanks for the info. yeah, lol. i know i need a new pc, this things from 2002. its been really good to me though.

  • LOL 5500fx ?! i dont even think it suport dx 9 lol throw it by window xdd u can buy good comp for ~~700$ is that so much ?! omgggg

  • well, im broke, so.... and dont bash my card just cuz i cant afford anything better. its been really good to me for years. i bought it for half life 2 back in the day, and that runs at a good 80 fps =)

  • No, the FX series is DX 9.

  • the only cars that support dx11 is the

    ati 5850, 5870, 5970

    not shure about the 5770

  • Yeah 5770 supports it

  • 5770 does, for sure.

  • also 5750 supports it

  • no shark ?

  • My ati 5870 :) run it , i have this gpu from yesterday :)

  • OMG, that looks so ******* nice!

  • direct x11 pero con ATI RADEON 5870!

  • this is actually directx 10 lol its not dx11 nvidia doesnt even have dx11 yet, still nice vid of what can still be acheved with dx10 and all but i cant wait until they start bringing out the new dx11 games,

anyone who rates me down is a fan boy because what im saying is true, well anyway bye :P

  • Sorry, but I'll have to disagree. For all we know this is DirectX 11.

Just because you can't buy a card supporting DX11 right now doesn't mean they don't have one built. You forget about hardware testing and such before it finally releases.

  • Makes me thirsty.

  • hehe lucky me i gots cokes!! ^_^

  • VERY uncanny valley.

  • If it´s DX11 it must run on ATI Radeon 5870 now :)

  • okey!how about the direct11 does it support direct 9 and 10

  • no they just delibretly left them out, lol of corse it does :P

  • OKEY iGOT AL READY. .

  • fucking good graphik.

  • 1 star for fake title but other than the ocean looks good.

  • man, love the DX11 that song is awful tho.

  • this isnt DX11.. nvidia HAVENT Dx11 yet..!

  • hoho Nvidia have this ;) in laboratory have a tesla Driver for d3d 11

  • hoho, nvidia have just expensive shitty cards... get up man :)

  • -___- u love ATI yes ATI GPU PUBLIC is good

But ATI haven't any good "supercalculator like TESLA)

  • LOL Nvidia having DX11 are you kidding? Only ATI can claim that right.

  • ok... um... nvidia always brings out their stuff as a response to ati... search the web... theres a lot of legit articles about it

theres no doubt nvidia will support dx11

  • they just havent released the cards yet

  • yeah thats what I meant.

  • Too blue in my opinion, water doesn't look blue up close, only when your a fair distance away, not saying that it looks bad, it looks amazing - but they have to tone down that blue alot when you're too close. Like in Chrome engine, where the water's clear and actually makes you feel that the water there is real and cold.

  • evanescence-bring me to life

  • i dunno why but i just love dx9.0 i just think its the best so far

  • But DX9 isn't the best. The only reason that DX9 still is used is because Game Developers don't want to skip campability with older GPUs, and the Console GPUs dont run DX10+ code.

  • what do these upgrades do?

  • ok i got it. it's bring me to life by evanescence

  • Ummm, wrong lol.

  • whats the music's name?

  • music was unnecessary for such a short video. Not to mention terrible.

  • It's DX10

    Crysis

  • Why do I have to listen to that song during an otherwise impressive demo

  • agreed

  • shit music

  • good vid..

My 2 5870's incoming around next weekend.. i'll make tons of videos of unboxing, gameplays & benchmarks

Sub me if you want? som CFX-action with these monsters! cant fuckin wait anymore... just one week left... early for being sweden-delivered!

  • the point of the waves never move, the wave is always the same... did you notice that?

  • Music sucks -_-

  • i have a direct x 11 on a ati radeon xpress 200 chip

  • you are retarded aren't you ?
