To knock somebody off balance, ask them to put their feet together and push their hand down and slightly out to the side.
To "miraculously" give them better balance, just push straight down on their hand.
It's pulling it out to the side that throws them off balance.
For the demonstrations where they ask the person to put their hands behind them, simply pulling back slightly as you pull downward knocks them off balance. Pushing straight down lets them retain stability.

Normal people wouldn't stand with their feet close together as it is harder to maintain a proper balance without the feet being spread out.
There is no science behind this gimmick because it's simply impossible to provide any for that matter. People should stick to what's actually best for them: exercise and proper nutrition.
It's a trick guys. 1st demo, pull their hands out away from their waist quickly and they'll lose balance, push them straight down slowly and they won't. 3rd demo, push down quickly they'll lose balance, do it slowly and they won't. 2nd demo, try it out on your friend, but put anything else besides an energy bracelet and see if it still works. :)

@hoodleehoo well i have one and i do the same exact thing on ppl and it works. i dont push down fast on there arm when they are balancing and it is easy to get them down. and yet hard when they have the bracelet on. same with when they twist and cant go farther then with the band placed in there hand they can go farther and then when it is pulled away they have a hard time holding the position
