I was in Peking in 86. This played at midnight Thursday (ladies night) at the airport Holiday Inn. Crazy place with Chinese police watching all the foeig devils dancing. The male DJ did a striptease down to bra, garter belt & panties. Crazy times.
It's always been my favourite part too! We currently have all our Roxy LP's but are in the process of giving them to my friend's kids, as they're all getting back into vinyl.
(It's a good thing Bryan can sing, because he's a little short of charisma. Or maybe I was just really stoned the night I saw them ...)
No it's charisma he's got in spades but that Afro-American voice well you can never get close . He should sing if he wants to though...we don't have to listen.
I agree with you. I love Roxy on vinyl and their music just ages like a fine wine, but when I saw Bryan Ferry in concert (1989 I think ) I was very disappointed.
the best song for night driving!!!

Loved the countdown at the start of the song on the (dare I say it) LP I had way back when

The best part is that they skip "eleven". That was such a cool touch.

Bryan short of charisma? He's the epitome of debonair cool!

Cool to the point of frozen stiff. Love their music, but I can see why Jerry traded up to Mick.
