Just for looks, you shoulda kept that little clear spoke, that emerged from the original barrel.

Just bore a hole thru it wide enough for the laser to pass, yet thin enough not go unnoticed.

Then when you fire it, that clear tip lights-up :)

Also, I saw a kid on here with a hi-power laser he made from a pointer.

He was able to pop balloons, and light matches with it, from across an entire room.

It was pretty damn effective. Now that'd be phat for a sci-fi laser gun.
