  • Associated Press 7/14/11 A raid of bin Ladens Pakistan compound in May reportedly turned up documents showing the al Qaeda leader had a gay lover: CBS News confirmed that intelligence gathered at the raid on bin Ladens compound in Pakistan revealed that he had became obsessed with Gay porn.

It has been confirmed that Osama had a scret love affair with Chris Mathews from MSNBC, Osama and Mathews were to be married in San Francisco by Rosie Odonnel It wa to be televised on the Oprah Network

  • I have been taking apple cider vinegar from Bragg. It will cure your gout and clean out your body. Its sold at GNC. Google it or youtube it, it is like a wonder drug. Good luck.

  • @coolpeople1616 I use it all the time, it doesn't work. I have chronic gout tho. My friend who is a doctor makes a special drink with it and that didn't work either!

  • as a gout sufferer for over 10 years now, knowing the causes and remedies hasn't helped as much as increasing my water intake, anywhere between 3 litres and a gallon a day leaves me able to consume alcohol / and certain food types that a gout suffer really shouldn't touch.

I've been prescribed Allopurinol and several types of anti-inflammatories but haven't needed to touch them since increasing my water intake.

Surprisingly this wasn't mentioned by my GP

  • @GeeseH i have gout. i am a social drinker with friends. i do not want to take medication anymore... i will drink a lot of water from now on. anything else that you can share it with me. appriciated very much. thank you.

  • @Kovayaj

Consider cutting sugars. They can be found in fruit juices and confectionary.

Cut down body fat as this is major contributer. Consider a low calorie diet (this does not mean eating no food it means eating plenty of salads and lean meat such as fish and chicken) and exercise. These are the major steps to managing gout. You may find things in your diet and life style that contribute to this.

  • @bighands69 thank you so much. i will follow your advice.

  • i had gout almost a year ago. it was treated. it was fine until last month it came again but doctor gave me same treatment again still i cant see any change it very painful. this time i have seen doctor 5 times they all game me same medicine n i repeated again n again. whats the best way to overcome from this attack. thanks

  • @boby8400

If it is long term attack like a month plus consider steroids. Talk to your doctor about this. Be proactive about it do not expect doctors to have all the answers.

cut out sweet foot straight away such as juices and sugary sweets.

Drink plenty of water and apply ice for no more than 10 mins.

For long term management consider low calorie diets which does not mean not eating it means more salads and lean meats and less sugar.

  • i have all the gout symptoms..but normal uric acid levels.instant inflamation, angry red, pain localized inlamation.cherries and cherry juice, lots of water helps to flush

  • Let me see a page..lol you rock

  • Thanks! good info!

  • u should improve ur english,to make something universal ur english has to be like that and I felt u could have easily made this topic concise -Dr Chatterjee

  • @prasunpunam his english is good you moron.

  • Dr P; i get confused with how can an inhereted enzyme deficency in xanthine oxidase give you higher uric acid levels if it is a rate limiting enzyme to convert xanthine to uric acid? Wouldnt that mean less uric acid? Or can the precursors give rise to crystal deposition as well?? Would appreciate your advice on this?

  • bananas. lots of bananas. help to prevent high levels of uric acid(potasium) and prevents inflamation(vitamin c).

  • @ninjakids777 yes but too many bananas (more than one a day) can cause other problems, such as heart palpatations so be careful with that

  • I'm a vegetarian and it helps me keep gout under control; however, it's not a cure. I still get gout attacks every once in a while on the joint of my right foot. I wish there was a medical procedure that would eliminate gout for good.

  • are you reading indian constitution..........

  • good video but his english accent is so heavy, I barely understand what he's saying.

  • lol

  • You can also increase the urinary uric acid excretion/solubility and prevent stones by taking sodium- or preferably potassium-bicarbonate (to avoid calcium excretion) or potassium citrate; raising the urin pH from 4.5 to 6.5 increases the solubility significantly. The reduction of crystals to act as a nidus for other precipitants and reduction of supersaturation therefore reduces stone risk factor significantly. Along with 2 liters of water per day, including at night.

  • i'm just wondering if sudenly your girl friend calls and spoil on the phone, then the duration of this video will be soooooo loonnggg.....:))))

but it anway this video is cool

    thanks

  • may be this vid is helpful for essay questions in england but sorry it's useless for usmle who really make u think like u r dealing with a patient not like u r sitting at home treating patients theoretically. and anyone who is preparing for usmle now will know what i'm talking about

  • this isn't helpful for usmle at all

where is the order of the labs? what u gonna do first

and also u just reading a book. like differential diagnosis

u didn't even say how u gonna differentiate between things. just gout and pseudogout u didn't mention WBC in aspirate, what it should be.

u didn't even mention any presnetation. when to use uricosuric and when to use allopurinol.

and when to start using each of them and when u can't usee probenecid.

  • This doesn't help me. I have gout and I'm a vegetarian. My doctor told me I have very low uric acid levels. What should I do????

  • how is your situation now ? do you have swollen finger joints ?

  • @blackcladlizard: I placed a naturopathic approach to this condition on my site/channel. I will leave it posted for a few days only.

  • I was just informed about my uric acid being high from a blood test. So it looks like I will be eating more raw veggies...I had the gout once...they gave me the shot..but the food treatment is better I assure you. Good video though, here.

  • 1 Tblsp of natural cider vinegar taken 3 times a day in a glass of water if you cant take it straight will help pain, and its natural without the side effects from the drugs which quite ofter cover the symptoms instead of getting rid of them.

  • Thanks for the video. I'm 34 and have experienced 5 flare ups. The last one has lasted 3 weeks. Ouch.

  • @Ions11: You can reverse it naturally.

  • sorry... making these videos with your white coat and scope on is not gonna get you any pussy

but... nice job on posting these videos - fantastic job overall

  • don't be a dumbass

  • clinical video lecture for USMLE PREP

    hope this helps

    website: o2demand

  • thanks alot its really helpful....!

  • it hurts like hell,it will make any man cry like a little bitch. Trust me my toe is swoll up like a golf ball.

  • Haahhaa...this is amazing. You're GERONAMI! WOW. I stumbled upon this by accident.

  • Kindey dysfunction/chronic kidney disease and the subsequent renal diet can also cause gout. Low potassium helps uric acid come out of solution in your body.

    PS It hurts like hell!

  • Here's the gist of what was said...

The problem with gout is too much uric acid.

Acute Gout: treat with colchicine or NSAIDs.

Chronic Gout prophylaxis of recurrent attacks (which doesn't happen in up to 20 percent of patients) is done with allopurinol (reduce production of uric acid) and probenecid (excrete more uric acid, so don't use on patient with uric acid stones).

  • Is gout inflamed and swollen joints? and there is presence of liguid?

  • I want to know what is the difference of gout and arthritis?

  • Arthritis is inflammation of a joint and can be due to several reasons and one of them is gout. Gout causes arthritis because of the crystals which are deposited. No clear cause for this as this can happen even if the uric acid leve in the blood is normal! So the best way to diagnose gout is by clinical presentation and if needed aspiration from a joint of the fluid which will show the needle shaped crystals whcih are negatively birefrinant under a special light.

  • great lecture! Also if you are preparing the exams you may want to view some more video lecture:

    account: o2demand

    website: o2demand

    hope you enjoy!

  • Too good Dr Paul.Keep it up.Upload more videos

    These are extremely helpful.

  • Dr Paul,

Thanks for your effort. Very well summarised for real life practice and of course for exams too. I like the mnemonics, P to P, (pseudogout > Positively Birefringent) and also P to R (Pseudogout> Rhomboid shaped crystals).

    Krishna

  • thank you for the video

  • In general, here is what happens. Purine degradation leads to xanthine or hypoxanthine which are oxidized to uric acid by xanthine oxidase. Uric is not water soluble and is excreted by the kidneys with urine. When we have too much uric acid, it forms crystals in your feet resulting in what you call gout. Alluprinol and other similar medications help in blocking the work of xanthine oxidase.

  • andhra accent?

  • santabarbaraguy on ebay sells something called uricinex. It DOES NOT work.

  • allopurinol...take it....and keep indocin caps on hand for the flare up!!!!!!!!

  • i hav gout in my left knee 2weeks ago. Very painful & stresful (i'm 29). I was advicd by my doctr to do lab(serum)test & found out that i hav high uric acid lvl. i took pain rliever & anti-inflam meds (w/ aplication of cold pack 2x/day for 15-20 minuts in the sweling area), aftr 1week the pain & sweling is gone. Rmember: to mntain normal uric acid lvl, no beer & avoid fud high in purines. That wil help prevnt anothr gout atack.

  • Hope this info help u based on my xperience, but stil best to vsit ur doctor

  • Can you spell that please?

  • makes my medical biochem class a bit easier...

  • yall dont realize that this is posted for medical students trying to learn about gout, not for patients trying to figure out if they're freaks or trying to figure out why their dad's are crying. Go to a doctor. it's an informative video about a complex disease, and he covers it all pretty well.

  • treating the acute gout is NOT simple. Yes you can take medications. Colchicine, Naproxin, whatever. They're only pain relievers and anti-flammatory medicines. They HELP but they do NOT completely heal this disease. Gout is a painful and extremely stressful disease for those that have it. Speaking of it so lightly is insulting.

  • @Sabricaze: Try a naturopathic approach - I will leave it post for a few days only on my site.

  • Excellent job. Keep up the good work and do not be dishartened by people who are insecure of their own accomplishments and try to put you down..

  • GOOD WORK APU!!!

  • good work apu!

  • because he's an idiot.

  • I think this man is crazy. He dosent have any family. He should go and practice rather than repeating from book.

    IDIOT DOCTOR.

  • i get it in both ankles and the pain is unbearable. this video helped alot. thank you so much for posting it. no one wanted to take time out to explain in detail what was wrong with me, but you gave alot of vital info.

  • im having gout trouble right now. i've had 3-4 attacks in the last year and a half! am i abnormal, or am i just really not taking good care of myself?

  • @6stringmonster: There are certain herbs that help.

  • very informative. Thank you

  • i have gout right now and it sucks

  • @lasvegas071103: Try a naturopathic approach.

  • need translation or subtitles....should turn off ur alarm oclock ............i think u have goiter..need tongue ectomy..
