  • it's so awesome when I'm working at Starbucks, and suddenly a line of cars pull up and they all pay for the person behind them... Even more so when one customer pays for EVERYONE'S orders. now that's paying it all around. Not an "unexplainable phenomena", just shows there are some kind people in this world. :)

  • I love it!

  • I think this should be done with meals. Start with skipping just one today , then donating the money or actual food to your local foodbank.

  • This isn't paying it forward, paying for the person behind you when the person in front paid for yours. That's passing it down the line.

  • k love!

  • This happened to me at Safeway, although it wasn't the person in front -- I forgot my bankcard and didn't realise till I went to pay and the guy behind me just pulled out his credit card. It was incredibly kind, this was over $100 worth of groceries.

  • How many people do you think working at the drive-thru just took the money for themselves?

  • @Manaspoon None, because then the store would be short, and that said person would be fired. It would take a complete a**hole to do something like that.

  • hey, i had this happen at the honda dealer...

  • I ordered a frappuccino wheres my fucking frappuccino?

  • only at starbucks would something this stupid get promoted. Its people being so self righteous they think they are changing the world. Oh sweet, 50 cars in a row did it. wow. So essentially 49 people still paid for their orange mocha frap's. How about these people buy a homeless guy some food, instead of throwing away 5 dollars on a coffee for people who CAN AFFORD IT???

  • @karmadrug It's not about the money, it's about altruism. Sure, maybe the rush of dopamine we get after doing something for someone else makes the act less than selfless, but who couldn't use a good feeling once in awhile. And I did buy a bag of chips for a homeless person the other day. I would have gotten him the sandwich he asked for but I only had 4 dollars. The fact I requested he try to keep warm seem to cheer him more than the chips. Love is all you need-its all that and a bag of chips.

  • @karmadrug

I couldn't agree more with you. A blog I read brought me here.

  • Where's my free Iced Cap? xD

  • this happened to me, but this guy at a restaurant payed our bill and left without saying anything. And this wasn't a 5-dollar coffee. it was a 50-75 dollar dinner for 6 people. i'm guessing it was because we had boy scout uniforms on.

  • Check out my site and pay it forward to someone who needs a site or something exposed.Good use for it.I put a homeless man's donation site up.Hoping it will take off.I'm unemployed and it's rough

  • first a video of a u2 spy plane, then a little girl making a speech to the U.N. and now this? WTF YOUTUBE!

  • Someone paid for me and my friend's meal this evening, leaving only the message paid it forward. I can't wait to pay it forward tomorrow!

  • THERE FUCKING KINDNESS EVERYWHERE,,,

  • at a minnesota location at starbucks, one store had 54 cars that "payed it forward" it was on the news here. was pretty cool to see if happen.

  • I used to do this all the time, years ago, during the "random acts of kindness" phase.

  • Here in Redding, CA, my roommate told me this happened for several hours straight at a Starbucks! Praise God! Haha!

  • I did this 2 or 3 weeks ago. There was an older woman at McDonald's by herself, wearing sweatpants with a couple small holes. Maybe she was doing yard work that day. I wrote Pay It Forward on my receipt and set it on her table with a 20, on my way out. It made me feel good almost all day, and I don't have a lot of good days.

  • The reporters name is Chode something. Huh Huh.

  • It just happened to me yesterday in Pittsburgh ^_^ This really lightened the rest of my day~ I didn't know this story until yesterday when I shared this event with my friend. I want to say THANK YOU!

  • I love seeing more people do this sort of thing!

  • this is crazy man.... i swear i heard like thirty stories of that recently, and last time i went to a breakfast resturant and some guy paid for my whole meal that shit was tight, but its weird though that this barley starts happening towards the end of the world lol

  • I think it's really awesome, esp with the way things in the world are going today, like the guy in the video said. And no, I don't think it's a marketing campaign for Starbucks, either. It happened to me at a McDonald's where I live. A lady ahead of me had paid for my meal. I almost didn't believe it at first, I thought the girl at the window was messing with me. Luckily I got to pay it forward at a Starbucks when the same thing happened again.

  • That's lovely. :) I probably won't do it, though until I get a nice big pay day. And I'd probably be more inclined to do it for someone who's somethin' sweet.

  • when it cross your mind that the cashier will keep the money, thats when doubt, lack of faith and no good thing comes to your life... So just believe and do it for your spirit, even when the money goes somewhere else, who cares, you allready did the deed!.

  • So long as the cashiers don't pocket the money.

  • Then again.. if she/he really needs it, does it matter where the kind gesture goes?

    Sorry for my ignorance.

    Peace all

  • Beautiful!!!

  • yay

  • This is just one of the ways of paying forward

Go out & be creative in giving :-0

  • Well isn't that just loveley....

  • Amazing.. Unfortunately i think it's only advertising Starbucks
