What is this supposed to mean? Be smart like her and stay waiting tables for the rest of your life? Be a sucker and go to college and end up with debt? If everybody were so "smart", there wouldnt be that many jobs waiting tables. On the other hand there wouldnt be professionals at all to contribute to society. Then a waitress can mock a college graduate because she didnt dare to pay for fulfilling her dreams. Remember that later in life you would regret not what you did, but whay you didn't.

It's the new high school diploma, you will just get debt and disappointment. you don't need a degree to succeed in life and people like Mark Zuckerberg, Bill gates and steve jobs have proved it. They were too smart to figure out that a college degree was not going to get them anywhere.

@110301839 Gates, Z\berg and Jobs just proved that you dont need a college degree to open your own business if you are at the right spot and time in an expanding industry. I agree some College degrees are worthless, sociology, psycology, humanities. You dont need education to be sucessfull in your own business or selling your talent. But if you want to be a brain surgeon, corporate attorney, nurse or engineer, there are no shortcuts, a GED and an idea wont do it. Being rude neither.

This should be required viewing for all high school seniors! Did your high school counselor tell you that you cannot declare bankrupcy on a student loan, and some types of debt, such as student loans and child support payments, don't require a judgment for collection. I don't know about you, but I think that's incredibly scary.
