  • This is an underrated classic

  • Yves Montand looks a bit like Joe Dimmagio

  • Yves Montand and Marilyn oui, oui!!!

  • ladies and gentlemen a true legend i love her <3

  • This role was the closest she got to playing Holly Golightly - the part that was written with her in mind and the part that she SHOULD have played.

  • @Messylin I don't know if Marilyn would have been suited to a role as "real" as Holly Golightly. She could play comedic characters brilliantly and she could portray drama well if it was in the theatrical style of films like Niagara and Don't Bother To Knock, but her acting style was too stylised for Holly Golightly in my opinion.

  • it's so funny seeing the elvis impersonators in this movie. when you think how big elvis was and how big marilyn was it's strange they never met. you sometimes forget they were both in the 50s as the movies seemed so different to the rock and roll scene... lol it always feels like marilyn wasin a different time

  • Marilyn Monroe made this movie under an old contract she had with 20th Century Fox. After Some Like It Hot, a UA Movie, MM was the biggest star in the world and 20th wanted to cash in on the MM popularity. This film directed by George Cukor was to have co starred Greg Peck but Peck dropped out because he found out that this movie was going to be All About Marilyn. When MM worked it was always

All About Marilyn. This was a weak movie but then it was a chance to watch MM, the Greatest Star

  • Yves Montand wasn't able to showcase his true talent in voice and talent in this movie, but I still liked it for some reason. It was just one of those off hand films that are perfect for certain occasions.

  • People who have brightness never die. They change something around. Not only because of beauty, there were others, but Marilyn had that "something" special which made her unique - and human.

  • I love Marilyn Monroe.

    Thanks for posting this.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • One of the cutest, most romantic movies ever. Yves Montand. 'Nuff said.

  • Marilyn never dies.

  • shes a bit weighty in this film and tired looking.she was losing her fresh appeal.

  • @itart1970 NO SHES NOT!

  • NO SHES NOT

  • Great movie.

  • Yves Montand the greatest import from France since the Statue of Liberty? Hardly. He made movies with 3 of the greatest female stars ever: Monroe, Streisand and Ingrid Bergman but American audiences never warmed up to him. For one thing his accent was so thick it was hard to understand and his charm was kind of oily,

  • @Hunterunc I strongly agree with you. I found Yves Montand to be (as most French men) a cold fish. In this movie, I like him.

  • i luv her

  • Marilyn was and wil always be a mega legend. Look, you've either got it or you ain't. She had it. With bells on! With love.

  • Marilyn's well publicized affair with Montand confirms her horrible taste in men. MM was terrific as always, but this film-- they show it a lot on TV-- was awful.

  • omg, she's so talented and gorgeous,

i love this sexy but cute style!

  • marilyn was very big in this movie, her weight went from 120 to 147

  • and thats relevant because...?

  • cause its funny.

  • This is such a great movie. I haven't seen it in years. People really can't see how talented she was.

  • The perfect date movie. A pretty stage singer catches the eye of a powerful French billionaire, with the movies signature song were she wears an oversized blue sweater. Song and dance brings people closer together-in a lets start dating sort of way. Lucky Yeves Montand had several kissing love scenes with Marilyn.

  • Is that Nicole Kidman? She looks a lot like her in this trailer...

  • the french actor(yves montand i beleive is his name)and marilyn had an affair during the filming,he was married to an older woman at the time, who would choose any other woman than marilyn???well...him oviously, yves, arthur miller married a photographer sent over to document the making of the film also, idiots

  • "Lots of laughs with Tony Randall and Frankie Vaughan singing..."

    lol Gotta love classic trailers...

  • really beautiful

  • its just sad that she cant handle her anxiety..by not being treated as a serious actress

  • I hate Yves Montand he humiliated her publicly

  • why what did he do?

  • yves had an affair with marilyn, with his older wife fully aware(she was on set and shared dinners/lunches with marilyn and yves)he hurt her by publically using her to up his "it" factor she fell in love with him and he dissed her very publically poor marilyn she was very ahead of her time,if she were alive today she would be rockin our world

  • @rheaann420

they never had an afair they were realy good friends , Yves did not know english , at this time he never spoke english so everything he is sayin is jibberish to him so what Marilyn did to help him was after filming they would go back to where Marilyn was stayin and she would hellp him pronunciate ( Yves and his wife and

  • Respond to this video... Marilyn lived next to eachother) so when a paparazi caught Yves coming out of Marilyns house that why , Yves said himself that Marilyn was beautiful but her didnt love her , he loved his wife

  • @MarilynMonroe4eva Marilyn herself acknowledged the affair in a letter to her psychiatrist, Dr. Greenson.

  • when? where? why? that bastard!

  • i wish some one would please post this movie....

  • I'll gladly do it, once my torrent finishes and I cut it into pieces for YouTube ;).

  • its a temptation to watch this woman act! hehe

    whuu

  • her voice is incredible and she was not a size 2 but a size 12 and beautiful and sexy

  • lol, she not skinny like a stick.

    but she's not fat either.

    it's size 6 to me.

  • marilyn was a size 12,she would be called fat by todays standards

  • Well in today's standards skin and bones are considered perfection?

Marilyn, in Let's Make Love, looked kind of chubby indeed. But before her death, she looked skinny (with curves).

  • haha, amazing, i heard she was size 14

  • she was, but back in those days size 14 was equivalent to a size 8 today

  • shes so funny when she does that wink at 0.44

  • She is the best, for me she will never die!!!

  • Fantastic!! She's the best. I love her at 0.20. She was very sexy. And she had nice voice.

  • @Camy280791 you know what i agree... she is ver sexy and does have a very nice voice....
