@bendingsnake It's not their camera, they are at a Canon location with lots of other people who want to try the camera. It's taped because Canon doesn't want people putting in/taking out their cards all the time.

reply: the 7D is awesome, but you have to use it in a china doll manner, it is not a rugged as nikon, but the features are really nice, the 1DX is super nice, but almost 5k

more , and if your shooting video, just get a nice set of used, NIKKOR MF glass, and your good to go, i enjoy MY 7D big time, there are just something i would like, so get your 7D and ENJOY! its a fun camera,

You mean to tell me this has TC? ISO up to 51200??? 24p? Full Frame? I can't to a Hollywood seasoned cinematographer get their hands on this. You virtually can shoot with ordninary house hold volatge light rather than those expensive ARRI HMI lights. Can't wait!

@MOVIMKR7 They are not weak. Nikon's have problems too. You just can't expect to treat your cameras like complete garbage and complain when they break. They do not want you putting in your own CF cards and leaving with images taken by the 1D X. This will be the case probably until the camera is actually released for the public to purchase.

@lilduck99 first of all, i have ben shooting for almost 40 years, long time, since i was 10 and i will be 50 in Jan.

i have had booth NIKONs and Canons , Hassys, lieca, Arris Sonys, Pentax tons of camera, Canon F1 AE was the worst, camera i ever owened,  i bought a 7D cause NIkon hasnt got up to speed yet in the video realm something i enjoy on my rig, and my 7D is not up to par in the qaulity realm, i understand, NIkons have problems,

Canon 1dx might save canon from disaster, but since sony is helping nIkon with video i seriously doubt Canon will be in the front much longer, and sony is being helped by NIkon, , i enjoy canon for my time lapse buts that it, the focus isnt tack sharp like NIkons, i miss my nIkon, big time, so im going back, i would still buy a 1DX for fun, but not as my main rig, and about Canon not wanting people to take the images with them, why, why are they ashamed of it.

I was wondering if i would find Sony fanboys/girls in here. Guess i was right to suspect they were. Sony isn't anywhere near this buildquality, they might have been with the older cameras, but not anymore. This is WAY more impressive than the things that have come out from Sony recentley.

@SouthFacedWindows As Jedimdan mention, A55 is not a full frame camera and both are using different size sensors. So it is unfair to compare A55 with EOS-1D X.

Furthermore the image quality produce will have a huge difference.

@SouthFacedWindows and it does that with a trancelusant mirror! which is NOTHING, compairing the achievement to make a mirrior slap up and down at 12fps is way more impressive than hearing about a trancelucant mirror doing 10fps. Besides, the lighithing through the trancelucant mirror is shit. 1/4 stop of light list through that thing.

No thanks... Sony can keep it's mirror. im staying with a DSLR til the bugs are out of trancelucant mirrors.
