They did however investigate and in his blood they found that he had died from an acute polydrug intoxication. He did not die from "natural causes" but at the time of the video you linked it had not been determined the cause of death and as such natural causes was what seemed most likely (as they had yet been able to do a toxiology test)

He suffered from cardiomegaly (enlarged heart) that at the time of his death was at a late stage, but in the end, he would probably still be alive if it werent for the pills and alchohol mix. Especially since cardiomegaly as far as I know is treatable. Ofc I could be wrong, but no other reliable source have said he was sick from birth
