Alligators have tough exterior - what do you think those expensive wallets are made off? The snake's fangs can't pierce that shit.

Alligators are heavily built - meaning that snake has a better chance of strangling a watermelon than trying to constrict that large gator.

Alligators have bigger mouth - It could eat the snake like paste if it wanted to.

Alligators are heavier - Snakes are lighter in comparison to the alligator. The snake could get crushed.
