@lilmzannie according to wikipedia they do. It says that when Rita takes Roddy home they're already in love. Then it also says at the end the become boyfriend and girlfriend. But you're right, they should make a second one!

I would assume that Roddy and Rita are both in their mid twenties, especially given Rita's spotty teenage brother, Liam, who comes across as about 16. Given how much more mature she seems, it stands to reason that she's well out of her teen years.

Most people do those shitty slide shows, but this is beautiful. There arent that many good Rodita videos on YouTube anymore (thanks to the staff) and when I do find a video, it's suckish.
