I've been a vegetarian for a year, and now I'm eating meat again. Only, I'm eating hunted game meat and free range meat. Organic food only as well. You don't have to stop eating meat to not support this.

the idea was for a more efficient way to kill animals so that we could eat them. We have been killing and eating animals for thousands of years, except nowadays we don't give them much of a chance. If you think about it we would end up killing them anyway even if slaughterhouses never existed. It's no crime to eat meat, I for one am an omnivore I eat meat and veggies. I do think it is awful how people treat the animals, so something should be done.

They have no regard for the animals, their employees, the farmers, the environment and have spent a lot of money buying off politicians and policy makers to allow their industry to not only grow, but to get away with murder.

THese workers are just immature and unprofessional. I still eat chicken, beef and pork. I don't eat fish because I am allergic. Oh and I can eat shrimp which I love to do. meat is a natural part of our omnivorous diet.
for the record, and for jburr36's simple mind, I eat meat, I eat chicken, turkey, lamb, fish, beef etc, not too keen on pork though. No it's not that healthy to eat a ton of red meat, but meat is an essential part of the human diet, without it, we can't sustain the correct levels of things like calcium and protein. However, treating our meat animals well not only ensures good welfare standards, but better tasting meat! Meat from stressed, poorly kept animals doesn't taste as good I don't think.

the idea was for a more efficient way to kill animals so that we could eat them. We have been killing and eating animals for thousands of years, except nowadays we don't give them much of a chance. If you think about it we would end up killing them anyway even if slaughterhouses never existed. It's no crime to eat meat, I for one am an omnivore I eat meat and veggies. I do think it is awful how people treat the animals, so something should be done.

I actually watched a documentary on how Tyson get there chickens they pay farmers little money and ensue them with debt theyve got farmers with thousands of chickens the chickens are so big they cant even walk on there feet theyll take to steps sit down and die then when they die the farmer takes them out and covers them with dirt in a pile. for the record, and for jburr36's simple mind, I eat meat, I eat chicken, turkey, lamb, fish, beef etc, not too keen on pork though. No it's not that healthy to eat a ton of red meat, but meat is an essential part of the human diet, without it, we can't sustain the correct levels of things like calcium and protein. However, treating our meat animals well not only ensures good welfare standards, but better tasting meat! Meat from stressed, poorly kept animals doesn't taste as good I don't think.

This does make me want to go vegetarian, however, my parents wouldn't let me for stupid bullshit reasons they have for everything. The way they slaughter is terrible, but some factories do slaughter in a somewhat humane fashion. To me, as long as they aren't conscious when they die, and they fell nothing I'm already with eating meat.
