Only in the Third Reich, woman saw true equality. They were taught the, of course, natural differences between males and females (unlike in liberal secular countries), but at the same time, had all the opportunities they wanted. Yes, Hanna Reitsch was the TRUE standard barer for women during WW2. She didn't fly "because more women were needed", but because she had a God given talent. Btw, she flew a helicopter, a rocket plane, AND a jet fighter.

I, too am a vet (one of the fewer, the prouder...woman Marine) and am very happy to see the WASP get honored like this after all these years.

Congrats to these great veterans.
I am a veteran (male, usmc ..in case it matters)...
and my hat goes off to them (and all other veterans). These woman were / are awesome. :)
I am sorry it took so long for these veterans to get their 'day in the sun'.
