LISTEN to the lyrics of this masterpiece

and WATCH this series of programmes by the under appreciated John Pilger

    ...Then THINK.

  • @multigrooves

You'll need to add the w w w dot in front of the above link

  • Holy sweet mother of breaks

  • "Jews and Arabs! Semitic pawns in the master game. The masters who control the board sees them as all the same ... " Brilliant. What happened to the minds of truth? Suppressed we all are. Looking for jobs and keeping our mouths shut and minds shut down, and a man becomes a servant clown. Bust loose. Looks like the Korean provocation may be a diversion from the Airport Lavatory Security groping & fondling bravely in their war on terror.

  • I read a few days ago that after this record was released that lover of all things

Fonky, Spiro Agnew, called up Mcdaniels' records co.( Atlantic?) to complain

about the lyrics!!! Gotta wonder if that is true or not.... Sounds like it could be one

    o' those "Urban Myths"..

  • @timjmoran completely true, it's the reason it was never well publicized. This was too much for the administration, not an angry rant, not useless blaming, but an intelligent and rational piece of art. Must have scared the living shit out of those at the top, far too powerful to be widely head, a beautiful compliment to the album if you ask me ;)

  • @timjmoran Widely heard*

  • rest in peace harry whitaker

  • Anyone know who the band was on this album??

  • @timjmoran One and the same.

  • Could this possibly be the same "Gene McDaniels" who cut those charming lil' Pop

Ditties like 100lbs. of Clay", etc ?? If so..whew.!! What a transformation!!! I guess

Gene became a little bit more aware..no?? Great stufff, tho..very funky.

  • @timjmoran One and the same. I sold this album to a b-boy circa 1990. He'd heard it sampled by the Beastie Boys.

  • @timjmoran yes it could be and is.... * Harry Whitaker - piano * Gary King - electric bass * Miroslav Vitous - acoustic bass * Alphonse Mouzon - drums * Richie Resnikoff - guitar * Carla Cargill - female vocals

  • used to play this on my radio show in the 70's. There was so much good music coming out back then.

  • ah man, am I glad I got that dopeness on vinyl! shivers down my spine everytime i hear these rhymes

  • Brilliant lyrics, amazing album. The 'disliker' needs to get their hearing tested

  • do u have the song reverend lee

  • Listening to this, I feel like my head could explode. Wicked smooth.

  • DOPE BREAK!!

  • Soul Brother #1 Pete Rock!! 1992 was first!!

  • Better get it together...

  • pass the hand grenade- eric b. & rakim

  • I'm trying to find a song I thought was on this album called parasite. Anyone know where to find it?

  • the dopness of it!

  • SteveSpent, from one music lover to another, I think you would significantly increase the quality of my life as well as the quality of many other peoples lives if you would upload the rest of this album. From my limited exposure to Eugene I can ascertain he is unlike anyone I've ever heard before and I can't find this LP anywhere. Please consider it, you'd be doing a public service.

  • @belalakaperal you can download it on rapidshare

  • Sick! sick! sickkkk!!!

  • this song is fuckin badass...heard it for the first time on pandora and wanted to hear it again so here I am! sick....

  • timeless message + hot beat = masterpiece

  • incredible album

  • Yes this album is a masterpiece.

Loving Man, Supermarket Blues, Headless Heroes, Jagger the Dagger...

Have a question, is the song "Susan Jane" about anal sex?

  • haaaaaaaaa i really like "Susan Jane" and cracked up at that comment......."barefoot in the muddy road" Shes shaking her behind, it's great to unwind", can see your point....

  • Is it wrong that I think Eugene was a little too severe/sentimental/sensational? This track is amazing, don't get me wrong, but I think the quality of the song means those who would question the lyrics will get shot down. Like I eventually will be.

  • Bro, you lost me after "...track is amazing, don't get me wrong,.."

  • @tropicalpimp I just think Eugene is being severe, and because the song is so good, i'm the bad guy for saying so.

  • Holy grail of an album. Jagger the Dagger is my shit though!

  • hell yea

    gravediggaz used that

  • Yo cavemen would be groovin' to this!

  • lol

  • kewl

  • Beuatiful

  • very very nice

  • Toracube, i have to agree with you.
