I am just starting to crochet and I love it! A friend taught me single crochet and of course the chain stitch, but in order to begin my fringe (it's sc and chains), I needed to know how to do a slip stitch...wow! Thanks so much for the wonderful video and audio. I think I'm ready to begin my fringe.
Yes, that's true! You can place the two knitted pieces right-sides together, or wrong-sides together, and insert the hook into one edge stitch from each knitted piece. You would then complete a slip stitch, then work across the two pieces where you would like the seam.

I saw on tv that people can use slip stitch in crocheting to connect 2 knitted pieces instead of sewing in the knitting "way".
Is that true? Thanks!
