  • this makes realize how my mam feels when i shout at her and we argue and fight i now realize how much i need her and i need to cherish her before i lose her + i'm crying at this moment in this time i think i shall go and get my mam (by the way dont judge me i'm only a 13yr old child)

  • In response to another live version, I said:

One of the most beautiful songs ever written and sung with real feeling, it’s absolutely genuine and captures entirely the all too quick growing up for everyone and what it feels like for any parent. This is musical talent at its very best.

I think I may have said that wrong, as I should have said it’s the most beautiful meaningful song ever written and sung the best it can ever be sung!

  • Wow!!! What a neat Vid. Thanks.

  • A very, very beautiful song from Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Anderson, two genius in song writting. A fabulous interpretation of the two excellent singers. Amazing ! ! !

  • My little sister is only 2 years apart from me and even though I'm yelling at her I still feel sad to see her grow up so fast! I have the exact same feeling for my friend who went into 6th grade this year ......*sniff *

  • I'm a Srilankan.I'm sure ABBA will never get admiration that they really deserved.Although they are a unprecedented, remarkable phenomenon to date, they are snubbed and branded as light weighters. If one can produce this kind of song,It is one and only ABBA who faced many phases in life as a two married couples with special music and producing talent. their 10 years of music carrier describe the life.I think they will long last at least on secret fans who reluctant to say they loved ABBA.

  • i love this song, eventhough im still young but it remonds meh of some sweet memories when i still live together with mah dad...i miss him..

  • Muito, muito legal esta música!!!! ABBA forever!!!! I very like, sorry my english...

  • Memories and emotions....they'll always be there for us!

    Thanks for looking in...

    Peace...Jim~

  • This is so emotional this song, and it always makes me cry. It reminds me of my class at school as after the summer there are several girls not coming back for sixth year, and it seems like hardly any time since it was 1997 and we were all starting school.

  • Just love it!

  • Songs like this make many ABBA is part of our life and that after 30 years remains one of the best groups in music history

  • a beautiful sad song

    Thanks

  • Nice job.

I'm getting into an "ABBA kick" lately and this song is just beautiful. And a live version at that! (Impressive...a lot of bands can't pull it off live this well.) Agnetha had one of those voices that you just cannot forget. (I wish she would team with Frida again...one more time at least)

  • This is so sweet Jim :)

    5stars

  • Thank you Krissy...This is far better than my first ever video ( same song ). By the way, do you have another channel here on Y/T?

    Peace from Iowa....Jim~

  • no offense but the daughter doesn't llok as pretty as the mother, she actually looks good when she was a child, but it's a nice video, thanks for posting it.

  • Why would that even matter?

  • I agree, but hardly Aggie had a daughter as beautiful as her, because she is incomparable.

  • what is agnetha's daughter name?

  • Linda. She also has a son (also with Bjorn), Christian.

  • no way my friend, she has a terible voice, the only so so song she could sing was "the winner..",you never can say Meryl is better than the wonderful Agneta.

  • The original abba is still the best

  • I love this abba and I'm just 14.

  • It's always nice to see Abba is getting new, younger fans everyday. Thanks for looking in.

Peace from Iowa ( USA )...Jim~

  • dit is het mooiste

  • I think she looks like her father

  • Omg button of her daddy as a child

But more like her mum when shes older

It was her 36th birthday on monday

    So late happy birthday

  • A beautiful song and video. I am just as old as Agnetha's daughter. I wonder what she's up to. She looks more like Dad than Mom, I think.

  • She went into making movies and the theatre. She did have Bjorn's looks early on, but she turned into a beautiful woman just like her mother.

    Peace...Jim~

  • it's beautiful Jim,

they look like they were such a happy family

  • Dont take it offfensivly but i think the mama mia version is better xx

    lovely song though xxx

  • I never consider anything offensive unless it's seriously meant to be that way. That being said, without these original songs Mama Mia would not exist. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment.

    Peace...Jim~

  • 1st time I have seen pic's of AGNETHA+BJORN'S Daughter, she look's like them both. Beautiful young Lady, with a 'STUNNING' Mother. LOVE the VID. CLASS! Thanx 4 posting. X

  • Thank you for looking in Z. She certainly grew up into a very beautiful woman and Bjorn and Aggy did good by sheltering her as well as they could in the 70's and early 80's. That allowed her to have a realitivly decent childhood. Far different from the children of Hollywood's elite!

    Peace from Iowa (USA)...Jim~

  • excelent movie is great beafore...

  • proud to be swedish and live in sweden its a fantastic land thanks to abba

  • super.i m from hungary.anna

  • My daughter's travelling in Australia at the moment & I just find this so sad but beautiful at the same time

  • This was the one song that I couldn't place from Mamma Mia!--and then I realized that it was on the Visitors album from 1981. I was 12 then, so I guess the song would not have had much meaning for a preteen. Now, as a mother of three, I can relate oh so well! Linda was only about 5 when ABBA wrote this song, I think. It is even more pertinent as they grow up.Cherish all the times you have, because they DO grow so fast. Thanks for sharing this lovely video.

  • pas tout compris, ...

  • This song makes me sad and happy at the same time.

Abba were true masters of the song.

  • You said so. They are truly the best of their time.

  • this song is truly amazing, i love abba, i may only be 13 years old and i know that there is songs that are trash with no point, but songs like this and all of ABBAs other work is the soul of music

  • yeh i know they r brill

im only 15 an iv been obsessed wit abba for years

im tryin to get every cd i can

  • i can't find the words to comment...

that song makes me so sad..

    and it's so beautiful ..

  • i do agree with you with your comment. I thought it was just me being sentimental.

  • Hi drattack99,

even I clicked on the button "well coment", but it didn't count. That's why I am writing that I agree with you in all respects!!!

  • abba rullzzzzzzzzzz i have their singstar game

  • You have touched my heart with this song. Single mum of one daughther. I sobbed. Your daughter is so beautiful. She looks like mine also. Thank you for everything. This year I cried my heart out to that special song on MamaMia. Congrats on everything. I just realised tonight that you also had a lovely daughter. You have touched my heart. xxx

  • "thank you mother"..... is all i would like to say whenever i hear this song. RIP 6 years ago. And she provided me the BEST YOUTH I ever had in my entire life since from start when i first carry my School bag.

  • everytime i hear this song the water works start! Being a mother of 3 girls it always makes me value the time i have with them while they are younger as they really do grow up all too quickly. thank you for such a beautiful video and song

  • this song touched me so much...It almost made me cry...so sad, watching our sweet kids going away...for their lives ='D and at same time feel happy cus we made them great people =D

  • spidersim I agree with U

  • One of the best voices ever to grace music singing one of the most beautiful songs you are ever likely to hear

  • Good sound of a good song, perfect quality!

Song of 'my junger days'... Thank you!

    With Love Marilyn

  • aww she is beautiful :) she looked so much like Bjorn when she was little x

  • She is a beautiful young lady isn't she Alisha. Thanks for keeping your comment nice, they often go in the other direction. Thanks for looking in.

    Peace, Jim~

  • Thank you very much Aurora. As a father of two girls, this song means so much as I remember when they went to school for the first time. Thank you for looking in, and stop in any time!

    Peace from Iowa.....Jim~

  • Excelente canción! Y a nombre de todo el público admirador de ABBA de habla hispana agradezco que ABBA haya lanzado la versión en español de este tema: "Se me está escapando". GRACIAS POR LA MÚSICA ABBA.

  • Great song!

  • Well I see that I didn't need to tell you about this song, you found it without my help.

Thank you, it's a favorite of mine.

    Peace, Jim~

  • great vidio and song my daughter is 23 now i would love to have had a vidio like this great memories

  • wow i've never seen her daughter grown up before! She's so pretty and looks remarkably like agnetha but more like bjorn when she was young how odd! such a sad beautiful song.

  • She is such a beautiful young lady, and I read somewhere (although I forget where) that she just had her second child not long ago.

    Thanks for looking in.

    P[eace, Jim~

  • Wouah i really like this song, i whent to their concert i think in 1974/73 it was amazing, back then i was 15, i was one of their biggest fan i was in first row, it was so magical, when they sang that song everyone had a ligher and were crying, i was so touched.. I love love love it (L) Thanks so much for the song :)

  • Thank you. This is a favorite of mine also, I can just see my little girl here. Her first day of school was just as I can only imahine Linda's was.

    Peace, Jim~

  • lol i used to love Bjorn when i was about 5.

  • Thanks for looking in Bethan, has that changed at all?

  • You obviously love ABBA, so do I. My best year ever was 1976 when I was 13. Have you seen Muriel's Wedding - I love love love it !

I have not seen this new film yet, but ABBA were the best ever in the 70's and no-one can ever get close to them. The lyrics are so good in this song. It makes me cry.

    Caroline

    x

  • Thanks Caroline. I do love ABBA, the time I heard them was in 1974. We had a big community pool and they loved to play music over a loud speaker. The first time I heard them, I was hooked. But being a teenage boy, we didn't dare let on to our friends, or we would never hear the end of it. Aggy's my favorite.

    Peace from Iowa, Jim~

  • Hey Jim, Linda looked a lot like Bjorn when she was a toddler but as an adult she looked more like Agnetha :D She is very pretty :)

  • I love Abba too, was big on them when Muriel's Wedding and Pricsella (sorry spelling) came out lol.

I am having hesitations on wathcing the movie, maybe it is cause it's not ABBA singing. *shrugs*.

  • what can I say!

This says it all. My daughter is 13 now and was always so sweet and happy but now she is a teenager. Enough said!

    Very sad and emotional!

    Thanks for the video

  • I know exactly how you feel, my youngest is now 16 and there's a lot that I can relate to in this song. I can still remember her first day at school. Thanks for looking in.

    Peace, Jim~

  • Just been to see the film and loved this record. You have really done it justice by installing the photographic memories Bjorn and Anjeta(?)'s daughter growing up. I have two daughters of my own and can relate so much to this song, it almost breaks my heart that it's so true. Cried at this part of the film, cried at this video! Beautiful. One of my favourites. Well done! From one mum to millions of others.....

  • What a emotional song!! Love it!

  • thanks!what a touching vid! this song is just too sad:(, and I don't even have kids yet. Love Agnetha sentiment each time she sings this!

  • if agneta still loved singing and her daughter has a good voice, they should do this song together =)

  • Very nice song by Agnetha for her daughter:) Those always come out great! Very cute pictures!

  • been having a few hectic days Jim but if I didn't say before this I love this song and you did a great video with it.

    Jim

  • Nice set of photos here Jim with Linda through the years

    Very moving song

    Good clear sound version too

    Cheers

  • Thanks Shay. I'm kinda coming down from the "Mamma Mia" high and it was time to pull back a little with a sad, but somewhat soothing live track.

  • Good thinking, that Mamma Mia hysteria was getting crazy,I hope this movie lives up to it

  • I'm sure it will Shay, I don't think these guys know the meaning of the word failure!

  • One song that makes me cry...

  • That seem to be the general theme here Louisa, but don't cry....Be ABBA-HAPPY!

    Thanks for looking in.

  • Thanks ;)

  • You went for the jugular on this one,Jim! I think if everyone took an inventory of their lives, they could related with every word of this song. Bjorn and Agnetha certainly did. Great pics...out of Kleenex must go

  • I know it fits my life in many different levels Rob. Ive got a 16 year old (my youngest)and when she went to school for the first time, it was very hard to leave her but she ended up loving it.

  • This video almost made me cry! The little Lindy is so cute one and it really is sad watching Agnetha and Bjorn looking so happy together! Their daughter is just wonderful!

And if i can ask you as a big aggi fan is it just a coinsidence that aggi's granddaughter is called Frida ( as i understood )?

  • She turned into a beautiful woman just like her mother. Her dasughter's full name is

"Tilda Eliza Frida Ekengren-Ulvaeus" Ekengren is the last name of Tilda's dad. I don't know for sure about the Frida. One can only assume she was named after Frida herself. Thanks for looking in Mariana

  • tilda was named after frida lyngstad, linda's godmother.

  • Thanks for the information. I wasn't really sure and I never want to give out incorrect info. Once again, thanks.

    Peace, Jim~

  • Thanks mate for my morning dose of Abba-one of my all times favorites of Aggys-really hard to chose between about 5 of them!

Thanks for posting a definite 5 star-got up at 5.30 am and still my Brasilian friend beat me!!!!

  • Thanks Bill. I'm the same way, I've got my top five that are showcased in my video "They "Are" Abba". I've got my favorite tucked away in my mind known only to me.

  • Your video is a great tribute to this song, Jim! You had a great idea, putting Linda's pics here! It's perfectly suited to the meaning of the lyrics! So sad, emotional and great at the same time! For me, it´s impossible that the tears don't appear while listening to this song, my friend! And Agnetha is gorgeous here, as usual! She manages to pass a singular emotion! Not by chance the group still making so much success! Congratulations, Jim! God bless you!

  • I'm glad you enjoyed it DJ. The song was written about Linda going off to school for the first time, and Aggy thinking about the the time they'll likely miss with her while she grows up and they continue on with the group.
