The problem with Forever was that it was a Frankensteined from something would've been fine for 2003-ish standards. When it turned out to be mediocre in 2011, people decried it as 2011's worst game.

That being said, I think it's pretty damn impressive that Gearbox made something of 3D Realm's relics.

hey i got some news! there really is going to be a duke nukem movie! rumor has it that its going to be a prequel. storyline wise its basically die hard in space with duke fighting off alien space pirates that have taken control of the ship he is on, and duke has to stop them before they crash the ship into earth causing massive destruction. thats just a rumor tho, based off of an early draft of the script.

No, 3D Realms is not dead. Scott, George and one other person are still running 3D Realms, royalties are still being collected, and there are many projects still being PRODUCED by 3D Realms (not developing projects themselves, they're going back to their old roots.) and there is indeed a Duke Movie in pre production, writing credits go to Scott Faye at this point.
