  • I remember every Saturday going into the town through the old army check point at castle street then round to Mickeys roundabout i think Belfast should have something to remember Mickey as most of us at one stage where on the roundabout.

  • @mzsteffii92 .Wendy Austin was talking about MMs horse on BBC Radio Ulster about a year ago, and the horse is alive and well,and living at a retirement home for working horses.

  • Found this site while browsing. This song brought tears to my eyes. I left Belfast in 1972 and have lived in Scotland since. I can remember well being on Mickeys roundabout. Thanks Seamus for writing this wonderful song.

  • I still have the 6" LP that it first came out on and I remember taking a ride on the roundabout. Listening to this reminds me of happy times I spent with my Dad before he was murdered during The Troubles

  • I remember being on that as a kid (when my wee mammy used to take me to town on a Saturday) and it's exactly as I remember, right outside the Burton building on High Street, later became woolies (Woolworths). Oh, those were the days, happy days :)

  • The horse that pulled the roundabout is strongly suspected to be the one at Crosskennan Lane Animal Sanctuary and it extremely skinny he was found at hyde park in Mallusk it would sicken you to look at what he's like now

  • I remember seeing Mickey's Roundabout when I was a kid - what a contrast with the army checkpoints all over the city.
