@StephM1982 Thank you for your comment. It's west Japan, Japan sea side. The trout is native "Iwana" White Spotted Char, lives in the upper reaches of the river and it doesn't go down to the sea in this area. Other species of trouts lives native In lower reaches of the river. Some are go down to the sea and come back with grow up body. We have some kinds of salmons and the ohter kinds of big trouts in the north Japan, too.
Hi! Thank you for watching my youtube. I have two rods. My main rod is #3 8.9 feet . But It's too long in the small mountain stream covered by bushes as you see in my vid. So I cut butt piece of my old cheap #4 7.5feet to made very short rod about 5 feet long. #5 line weight matches with this shot rod. Leaders and tippets are also very short about 3~5 feet. Anyway I prefer fishing in wide river :=)
Looks beautiful there. What part of Japan is it? Are those the only trout native to Japan?
