Out of all of the fighting games I've played (KoFXlll, SSf4AE, 3SOE, SF2, Tekken 2-6, UMVC3, MK and all of the smash bros games) the only one that was downright easy on a high level is SSBB. BTW I'm not gonna drive 3 1/2 hours to a tournament, have to pay for a hotel, food, and gas just to have the possibility to place in a tournament to impress your annoying ass.

Playing competitively only shows you how well you play against other players. Do you think the makers of this game play competitively? The links in KoF have timing of target combos in SF. I never said KoF had target combos. You don't have links in the middle of combos like in SF.

@GO4PROsrk I'm new to both games. I got AE when it first came out (my first SF game) and I got KoFXIII when it first came out (my first KoF game), and it was way easier for my to pick up KoF. I had to pick up a fightstick specifically for AE. The timing is much more strict in SF4 (1 frame links). And i'm not salty. Now i'm good at both. Right now KoF is funner to me because it's more fast paced, but when i want to play chess with fighting characters i play AE.

@narutoxgamester I can tell how good I am because I kick ass at my arcade and my combo consistency. BTW KoF relies on cancels not links. There isn't as long of a startup time on moves in KoF because there's no HP or HK. Most of the links in KoF are 2 frames anyway so the timing is identical to a target combo in SF. There isn't 1 technique used in KoF that isn't in SF.
"Dhalsim isn't hard to play" that's why you only see one maybe two people ever be remotely successful with him? Gotcha. And Dhalsim Ryu is like 6-4 in his favor. 6-4 is still heavily dependent on player skill over character choice. Daigo was outplayed in that set, not counterpicked.
@GO4PROsrk Dhalsim ISN'T hard to play. Whenever you see a Dhalsim in a tournament he's against a Ryu. Dhalsim is the ONLY counterpick to Ryu. Dhalsim isn't picked much because he isn't really effective against other characters so people don't see the need to learn him.
Character difficulty is way more than just how easy their combos are. You HAVE to be super smart when you're playing Dhalsim, which is why he is hard and why you don't see any successful Dhalsim players.

The reason why KoF is more technical than SF is due to the finesse and technique involved with performing actions and combos. I think you're trying to say that SF is more tactical because it involves more strategy(which I guess I can agree with since matchups are weighed more and it is a slower paced game). Like you said, you have to be smart to play Dhalsim, but not an execution god.

I've never pick up King of Fighters and by looking at this game it looks great. I'm a big fan of fighting games as well and i might think about picking it up.

Compare both KOF and SF games historically and you can't deny that KOF stages are always impressive but this KOF puts all current Capcom games to shame. Look at the artistic and graphical detail of these lavishly stages. Capcom take notes you cheap mother fuckers!

I'm going to be 100% honest. I often pass over UMVC and SF4 tourney vids. Not that I dont love me some Capcom, but checking out other games, especially a true gem like KOF 13 I always watch. KOF 13 needs more love in america. It's such a good game.
What is sad is that a lot of people like the game. They say its great. But then they say its too hard to combo and trials are crazy. So they quit for easy-combo umvc3 or sf4

@narutoxgamester Now this part is just stupid. SF definitely has more strategy involved than KoF. KoF has less options to get in for the hit confirm therefore there are less ways to counter it. The less options you have for your opponent to attack you the less strategy there is to counterattack, etc.

@narutoxgamester I never play fighters online because 1/60 of a second can mess up my combos. Plus the missions don't mean shit. When have you ever seen anyone pull of one of the difficult combos from a mission in a tournament. I can play KoF on a pad or a stick because I don't have to be as precise. How many football players can pick up chess and place in a tournament? I picked these two games because they're both difficult at high levels of play. Kudos to your flawed logic.

Compare both KOF and SF games historically and you can't deny that KOF stages are always impressive but this KOF puts all current Capcom games to shame. Look at the artistic and graphical detail of these lavishly stages. Capcom take notes you cheap mother fuckers!
