Most of the stuff I listed in the beginning can be found throughout the Bible, although Deuteronomy, Judges, and the later writings attributed to Paul (obvious forgeries in Paul's name) are standouts. Hating your family to follow Jesus is from Luke. The eating with dirty hands parable is from Mark.

You should really take the time to read that damn book and learn for yourself what it contains. The actual "good" parts of the "good book" make up less than a tenth of the content.

Sorry, I'll clarify. One of the most common arguments in favor of God that I hear has to do with the objective morality of a transcendent being. However, the morality of Christians is not objective because their morals change with the rest of society. They have also changed their views on god to support these moral changes.

The whole "that's old testament" line is BS too. It all depends on which scriptures you read. Sure Paul was all for dropping the old testament, but Luke wasn't.

Of course the question really comes down to who actually wrote Luke? Did the anonymous writer of Luke actually see Jesus or did somebody just take Mark's script and a few other sources, like the Greek translations of the scriptures, and make a few additions of his own?

But he didn't take into account cost of living is 2x as high. Also he uses the salvation army as the metric of charitable giving. And the salvation army has a hirstory of homophpobic policies so of course the most gay friendly city isn't going to give as much.
