super cool sounds - this is when the magic really happens w/ the wavedrum IMHO: when you mangle/process the sounds. Are you using the factory sounds on the WD here or did you tweak them first? Great stuff. Please view my shared vid, thanks.
Disclosure: I call me a musician. My mediums, tastes & styles are "different," but not "electronic" (excuse my ignorant use of terminology). Trained classically, funk-jazz-rock-blues based, tightly composed for traditional instruments... bla bla bla bla. In a word, more traditional. Maybe less so soon.
BECAUSE MAN, I LOVE YOUR WORK. Seriously. Love.
HUGE respect for the level of musicianship, expression and feel you get into even your shortest bits. Thank you thank you thank you.
I like your videos. I'm wondering if the wavedrum could be used for sound design. I'm trying to shape realistic sounding kicks, snares, and hi-hats, I want to know if I could design a whole drum kit with just the wavedrum. Basically I want to sample some sounds into an my drum sampler for a sequenced beat, then play the wavedrum with the sequence.
@TheReasonableLogic ... to be honest, even if Wavedrum is nice to play and personal user sets are possible, I think you will be very deceived with it regarding "sound designing" and realistic drum sounds... I won't recommend it at all for these purposes... Wavedrum is not really a flexible tool for production (in my opinion), it's mainly conceived to be played live and have fun — not many more... for accurate sequence-based beat making & realistic sample sounds you should look elsewhere. Cheers!
