  • how did u make dry ice ?

  • haha i used to have a car powered by one of these hooked it up too an air compressor then it threw the rod and piston all over the room ahahaha!

  • cool

  • I just realize that dry ice has more energy density than compress air.

  • can u still buy air hogs with this engine at stores today?

  • u should put a small bottler/reserve and see if it will fly because of less wieght and higher pressure

  • if only it could fly......

  • That is really cool, you should put more dry ice in a bigger bottle and see the revs you get

  • u should put more dry ice and let it make some of that smoke that makes until it it stiff and spin it

  • its a cool idead but its too heavy and that engine wont be able to lift it

  • got be careful doing that builds up to much pressure and you've got your self a dry ice bomb

  • nice I have two air hogs pressure planes a renegade and a NIB red hornet both fun!

  • you do realize you have constructed a bomb in your kitchen... right?

  • i wanna see an air hogs on a compressor, dump 90psi on that shit and see what happens

  • Try some works and foil.. Hehheheeh

  • put less water and then try it it will start flying

  • wtf dont do that in the kitchen, it could explode and be loud as hell, i made a 2 liter bomb with dry ice before, tied the bottle to a weight and submerged in my pool, i was on the other side underwater when it exploded, it made giant wave and i felt the energy shoot through me kinda like a punch to the stomach, seriously those things are kinda dangerous when containing that much pressure.

  • @madnesscombat5 put it relaseing pressure when the engine is running

  • it still releases twice the amount of co2 than a conventional rc gas engine

  • ese motor como se llama me gustaria comprar uno pero como es ese no es a electricidad ni gas o quien sabe porfa responde me urge

  • this wouldn't be used becuz it releases carbon dioxide.

  • i think it releases co2 don't think it would catch on with global warming and all that jazz

  • new futuristic power source?

  • i wonder if it would fly on a smaller bottle??????????? you should try

  • he solved the gas crisis o_O

  • Pretty risky.... i wouldn't put my hands near that water bottle!

  • That sounds so good :)

  • that would be a good a/c

  • thats pretty neat, someone could build a dry ice and water powered car or something and did you use hot water in this test?

  • pretty cool!

I didn't know dry ice made pressure like that

  • when it melts it realeses a gas making pressure but its scary that the dry ice didnt blow up

  • use a smaller bottle and let it fly!

  • That guy just solved the energy crisis!

  • @tomk2010 Not really. It takes more power to create dry ice.

  • O_o

time to destroy the world >=D

  • this can be done with a briggs and stratton lawn mower engine by adding two lobes to the cam so there are four equal(lift and duration) sized lobes all of which are 90 degrees seperation...add pressure directly through intake and giver' we used to make those on the farm for go-karts, very slow but fun..

  • Does anyone know if these engines can handle 200-300 degree F steam?

  • yea they can, its steam so it wont burn

  • it's not the burning you would be worrying about.

    The heat could melt/deform parts.

    I doubt it, I wouldn't try it.

  • Is the bang valve setup on these engines efficient? I have an old weed wacker engine that I want to convert to air power, but I don't know what kind of valve I should use. Help?

  • I am I missing the point somehow? everyone seem kinda exited over this, dry ice looks more like a dry wank what's the point? If it was flying I could maybe see it but it's just a bottle with a propeller on it. In the words of Slim Pickens I've been to one world fair, a picnic, and a rodeo and that's the stupidest thing I ever seen.

  • you ass, its a demonstration of the compressed air engine in a form anyone can do. Why don't you learn the mechanics before you start imposing your humble opinion.

  • to learn the mechanics would take to long I prefer to just poke fun at dicks like you

  • 33 and your doing This? Get some fucking balls man. Either you are actually 13 or you have the anatomical maturity of a 13 year old. Either way it looks like you got some rethinking to do...

  • dou think if u had like 4 of those engines u could power a bike for a min

  • thats awesome, My nephew had one of these air powered airhigs planes but he got rid of it i should have asked him if i could have it it was really cool the wings broke on it but the pump and air motor and tank were all good i shoulda kept it

  • put some wings on it... you know to see what will happen

  • good engine, make an dry ice electric generator

  • i love this motor

  • Aww i had an airhogs plane with an air engine, back then I was too ignorant to know how fascinating they were and threw it out :'(

  • Well, be careful about what you consider 'garbage', because it might have useful parts in it (flyback transformers are an excellent example). Check out sixmhz, com.

  • @drewh0208 but these kind are air so they do not have flybak transformers

  • @cruddiestcrudever same ;'(

  • @cruddiestcrudever same here

  • im tryin to build an engine similar to tht of an air hogs but i want a much larger bore anyone know any places to get blank seleves and pistons?

  • I don't, but if you find a place that sells sleeves, let me know, because I'm making a Lego version of the MYT engine (currently 'shelved').

  • a what engine? is it it easy to make?

  • In the YouTube or Google search, type 'MYT engine'. Or go to angellabsllc, com. I also have a web page showing my Lego MYT engine with some details at ww w,geocities,com/drewh0208/Lego_MYT_engine,htm

  • What size are you looking for?

  • where do u get dry ice??

  • safeway, fred meyer's, walmart, baskin robin's. you have to be 18 to purchase it.

  • Hmmm...power cars off larger versions?

  • im trying to use this as a power source for a 1:10 scale rc car. With power throttle and a 2 speed gearbox too!

  • but the engine im going to be using is about the size of a large Lego duplo block and there will be 2 and cylinder 4 versions

  • put it in water its a submirine

  • okie dokie

  • Pretty Cool Man.
