  • I played this piece for a recital my junior in hs and it was a real pleasure to perform! It is so beautiful!! I believe through the practice of this piece I fell in love with Chopin...what an amazing composer!

  • Huh that is hard i'm 13 and is practising it....

  • Thank you for sharing! Much appreciated. God bless. Former music teacher.

  • Is the portrait wolf in the beginning assocated with Wolfgang A. Mozart?

  • @MrEbaby2011 maby

  • scheiß grafik, aber gutes lied

  • no comment..!!!!

  • The tempo is perfect. If you were to speed it up, not only would you lose the ability to push and pull the tempo in the same way, but you would lose the meaning of the piece as a whole. Faster isn't always better, in fact quite the contrary in my opinion. :)

  • I have 2 questions:

    1) the little phrases that are being played with the grace notes sound similar to trills, do they have a specific name? and

    2) in the afore mentioned phrases, the accidental is d#. If it were in harmonic minor, one would expect a g# instead; what is the significance of the sharpened 4th in terms of how this piece sounds (i.e. not in terms of blues)?

  • @ledzeppelin7510 The little trills are basically a trill done once and the D# is a little chromaticism to spice it up. Though it is the leading tone to E the dominant of A.

  • It just turned to be my 4th year of playing and I learned this in 2 days :)

  • ich love love love chopin.

  • Do not arrive to the ankle of Adam Harasiewicz

  • about how sounds the song is my favorite version, the image quality is bad, but a like how the song sound :)

  • I love the tempo.

  • 3/4 ( in uno) says the score... this is way too slow

  • @kaoru1869 haha it was mine too..!! ;D

  • 8 people are deaf from the beauty of the music!!

  • I played a year after I started piano too.

  • I'm amazing at this piece. Did you use the pedal? I used the pedal. I think it adds the perfect touch.

  • (: i love chopin.

  • @TRENDYPLACEBO5 you learned to play this a year after you started?

  • free to "coment"? nice spelling.

  • Music like this is in some Chinese soap operas.

  • you played this? WHOA. nice ;DD

  • Da da dum sounds so good da da dam

  • Dexter brought me here

  • If you can remove the scores - they are not the right one :-)

  • I played this for my evaluation and i love it :D this is a really good version too. good speed. chopin rocks. he's my homie.

  • I played this song infront of like 150 people when I was back in music school. Will never forget that :)

  • I think for more emotion, you don't necessarily have to speed up - but vary the speed a little. In the dramatic moments become a bit faster, then bring the speed back down. Varying dynamics will do that too. I can hear you do that a little, but I'd personally go more. Playing this for first year is excellent though! It does sound lovely. I only got this piece as an extra for fifth grade piano.

  • It reminds me of pirates!

  • This is my first time hearing this song and its beautiful. It has a mixture of sadness and grace in it.

  • @xxanimeluverxx2080

There are many emotions shown in this piece :D

  • Thank you, I'm a one year piano student, and this is the speed I feel is right. My teacher agrees. Racing through a piece can detract from the emotion it deserves.

  • @TRENDYPLACEBO My teacher said the EXACT same thing and I am also a one year piano student

  • @jdkrensel You seem to have a great sensibility, I am much older than you, but we are at the same level, and this piece, though simple, has many layers.

  • @TRENDYPLACEBO

this can be played even slower... it has even more emotions to show!

  • @TRENDYPLACEBO

Unless the song mandates a fast tempo (something filled with energy and asks of a vivace tempo or faster!)

But of course, the tempo is just right for this piece :]

  • it's in a minor, but which minor is it in?

  • @tombokickass in A minor

  • @kimjaney yeah, i understood before, it was a play on words...

  • It is fantastic...sounds like Kristyan Zimerman....you would do me a favour to tell me who´s playing....all my compliments.....

  • It's ok but i think they should show the notes on the video like they show a book and there is piano music in the backround...

  • I have play piano over 2 years and I just play this in concert;)

  • I have been practicing just over 3 years and am learning this piece. I love your version, not too fast, very emotional. Thank you very much.

  • @ryab55 noone knows how the composer wanted a piece to be played, and music is always about self expression, you are not a puppet at the piano.

  • @ryab55 this is a very nice version, with reasonable use of rubato.. Why don't you upload your version too?

  • very nice song :)

  • los weyes q pusieron q no les gusto jodanse mendigos incultos

  • @ryab55 Can you send me please the sheet music ? My adress is INS2912@rambler.ru. Thank you very much!

  • I love this waltz of Chopin No.19 very much, and you've played with a delicate touch and you've created a beautiful sound *_* The pieces you have shown in this video doesn't seem this song ... Anyhow I have added in my favourite *******

  • Your interpretation is really beautiful, you put emotion in your playing. The dynamics are beautiful, although your tempo is a bit irregular, but it is smooth and really I like your version of this piano piece. Thanks for sharing it.

  • I Love this piece!

  • Of all the interpretations of this piece i heard, I like this the most¡¡¡¡¡¡ Congratulations to the pianists. I´m studying this piece and hope to get this good¡¡¡

  • This piece is marvelous; it has such grace in the melody. I believe it was the first of his pieces that I ever played. It's nostalgic looking back in my old book and seeing all the chords I couldn't reach.

  • This waltz isn't in any of my Chopin Waltz books Schirmer's or Peter's Editions. I'm surprised, it doesn't sound like Chopin to me, does anyone know if this could possibly be a forgery?

  • @pianoqueen22 This is a posthumous work so it's part of Op. Posthum

  • @pianoqueen22 its in my schirmer book, you sure you checked?

  • you said song :)

    song - singing

piece/composition - not defined (could be singing but doesnt have to)

    :)

  • It makes me cry. I think Chopin dedicated this piece to one of his loves. There are no doubts that the woman felt in love for him at the first time he played this to her.

  • it's beautifull thanks =)

  • This is my daughter's piano piece and she is listening to it right now and wants to master it based on your interpretation. She will play this on her recital. Great job!

  • @sizzlingpusit I don't know if your daughter is still working on this piece, but I had to play it for a recital too, and I'd be delighted to help. So if I could give her just one advice, it is not to forget the dynamics, because they lead the whole piece. The first time is supposed to be "piano", then "mezzo forte". It's supposed to be very sad at the beggining, and soft, and then it gets louder, like there is some hope or something, and you gotta put energy in that part.

  • @sizzlingpusit Actually it's not very hard to play technically, but all is in the dynamics. All the emotion is in it. And a very few people can play it right from that point of view. Anyway, good luck to your daughter! Kiss from France

  • i like this very peaceful composition. Makes me feel proud being Polish!

    Chopin was a genious.

Chopin przekazał całe swoje życie w muzyce, którą stworzył.

  • This is played really well! The rythem is OK, and so are the dynamics! really good work. I play this piece of Chopin too, and i really loooove it! Well done,X
