I remember when I first heard this, I couldn't stop listening to it for days on end. I don't know much about house, techno music since those days but I'm guessing they haven't been able to better this have they?
I was having fun in the clubs of NYC when this came out. I even had fun hearing it on 89.1 FM(WNYU). That was during my late teens. Since I'm gonna be reuniting with everybody at my high school reunion,I'm hoping to hear this joint so I can go off. Lol.
@ morphx - what u on about boy>! this is acid house coz of the time era it was in n u could the drum type pattern that makes acid house, fool! lol this tune makes me think of the past fun times i had in life :)
one of the best dance anthems ever! todd terry at his best and sounds just as good now as back in '88. remember buying one of the first uk imports of this track on 12" from Spin-In records Manchester and was so excited when first played it in dj sets in the clubs and the euphoric reaction of the clubbers to it. was groundbreaking music at the time when house and acid was at its very best.
Before I was a DJ I remembered dancing in my room as a teenager to this song and wondering what type of music this was and why I could not find it on the radio anywhere.
Me too DJ MARIO IN THE MIX .... the year was 1988 , I was 20yrs old, thought I knew everything , but NEVER did , and NEVER will ( ", ) Love this track so much , I am 20yrs old again , without a care , without a purpose really & defo without a few brain cells !!! But I had a Mission in Life and that was No Matter what - TO NEVER STOP DANCING EVER - I am still Living My Mission and will continue too , as long as there is HOUSE MUSIC (all night long) Westside Shimon !!! X
@zurtur NEW BEAT? Who would dare call this New Beat? New Beat is New Beat and unique enough to be a pain to explain. Plus, it's a Belgian "invention" so over 90% NB records came from B.
@zurtur Speaking about New Beat (esp. the Belgian one), I've even run into darker tracks I mistook for EBM :) You may call me nuts, but there is even a New Beat "wing" that lets you think of the (though mellower) Nitzer Ebb stuff.
@pianoman74 Great ! Send me links! I'm interested in that music, specially if its close to New Beat !! About EBM, I love DAF, Front 242 and also 90s and 2000s stuff as Evil's toy, Decoded Feedback, Apoptygma Berzerk, please let me know about that tracks you ment !
Fucking great !

Why rockstar games did not put this music in San Fierro Underground Radio???
SFUR. They put a similar Maurice Joshua - This is Acid, but this music is better.

I'm not a huge fan of modern house. But Acid house from the '80's makes me wish I was around to go to a warehouse party. Rave on!

pianoman74 1 year ago
@pianoman74 Be sure this was played in New Beat sets, remember tracks like Walking on Sunshine, sample syndicate - tbm mix, etc
In the begining most new beat sets were non belgian tracks, as Logic Unit - Unit,
then much late came that Techno new sound (you can get it documented in some belgian club flyers, and the music itself)
I dont think this is new beat, but it can be called like that. Besides that, much belgian new beat its most acid or techno-house
I love this track and new beat also
